James Holmes, the suspect arrested in connection with the mass shootings at a screening of the new Batman movie early this morning in Aurora, CO, could be a registered Democrat, according to documents obtained by Breitbart News. Earlier, ABC News' Brian Ross and George Stephanopoulos speculated on Good Morning America that Holmes was a Tea Party member, based solely on a name appearing on a Tea Party website.
The James Holmes for whom Breitbart News has obtained documentation is 25 years old (the suspect has been reported as 24 years old). He has links to addresses in both Colorado and San Diego, where his mother has been reported to be from, according to news reports. He was issued a traffic citation in 2011--his sole run-in with the law. The same is true for the suspect arrested in connection with the shootings, according to reports. Update: Fox News reports that the suspect has a California-issued social security number, as does the man in the documents obtained by Breitbart News--a significant correlation, assuming the sources are independent.

From the amount of junk grabbing going on in here, I have a hunch a few in here wish they could have been there to do a Rambo imitation.
It is stated that the perp was wearing full body armor - head to toe - if you happened to have a Desert Eagle .50 somehow concealed, then you may have been able to get his attention. Anything less would have not stopped him, IMHO. This lunatic set up a kill box, executed his plan, and walked out of the theater.
Perhaps someone could have rushed him during a magazine change...but with the smoke and the bodies on the floor and the aisles crowded with people... A professional may have been able to take him down, if he was close enough - <10 feet. Still, there are just some times when there is no way to win.

2) Tear gas/smoke grenades going off.

Yeah,,,real smart to open fire at muzzle flashes and gun down God only knows how many more people in the process.

I think your addition rounds it out. I guess you could say in general “enemies who wish to harm us” and that would include everything from Iranian zealots and environmentalists to the President of the United States.
My first guess as well. Seems like every time something like this happens, a thread is posted and within the first five replies, "I'm guessing he's a Muslim! " "He's OWS!" "He voted for Obama!"

Sounds like the police are being manipulated. He doesn’t run. Tells them his apartment is snagged. Another person opened the door for him to get in. .......the next shoe to drop.
Good point. It gets ugly when you put James Holmes in Zabasearch and select ONLY the state of Colorado. Some of those are multiple entries but when you look at the middle initials, the list pretty much has the entire alphabet covered at least once.
No worries, FRiend, I do not take that as a slap-down.
My own response to that situation would have depended on who I was with, proximity to shooter, and tools on hand.
The whole thing happened so quickly and was so chaotic.
But, yes, we are on the same team. If my body was a shield/distraction so someone could get close enough to neutralize the threat, then so be it. And yes, my knife would be trying to find his carotid, or better yet, the base of his skull so I wouldn’t have to wait for him to bleed out.
