The young man who is in custody after allegedly gunning down 12 people in a mass shooting spree overnight in Aurora, Colorado has been identified as local resident James Holmes, according to federal authorities.

RottenTomatoes had to shut down their “Dark Night Rises” comment page because too many fans were getting violently rabid in their screeds. Death threats have been issued against people saying negative things about the movie.
There are a lot of loons out there, and the opening of DNR is inspiring them.
Sure, it could have been a “terrorist attack”. Just as much chance, based on what little we know, that it was some nut acting out a deranged fantasy.
FOX (broke down and tuned in just to hear about the shooting) just said Hussein will be speaking in an hour (10 CDT). He obviously hasn’t learned from his past knee jerks to keep his mouth shut until the facts come out. It has nothing to do with coming together as one American family but feeding his ego with some face time. Disgusting.
The poor guy with the facebook page was 24 and black. The only James Holmes in Aurora I could find on facebook, before he was identified as white.
I’m sure it’s the wrong guy, even though he was the right age. There are 2900 James Holmes in the U.S. (one in 100,000) and 300,000 people in Aurora, so the odds are there are about three James Holmes in Aurora. Unfortunately this one is also 24.

I am not a 24-year-old gun-slinging killer from Aurora, I am a 22-year-old book-slinging mass eater from Littleton. Somewhat distinct, I would assume. But I would appreciate if you would read this particular post an not assume that it would be interesting to be friends with someone on Facebook who is very probably going to be in jail and not be able to confirm your friend requests anyway, or even be friends with his girlfriend, who had the rather interesting experience of having to tell someone she had a job interview with that she is not, in fact dating a serial killer. James Holmes happens to be a pretty common name, surprisingly, so try not to jump the gun.

That guy would be too old if he graduated in 2000. If he was even just 16 when he graduated, he’d be 28 now.

I should post the pieces I have on other such instances: IRS building plane crasher, "unabomber", Lee Harvey Oswald, etc, etc, etc. Got to nip these things in the bud!
