House minority leader Nancy Pelosi says that Democratic members should stay home and campaign in their districts rather than go to the party’s national convention in North Carolina.
“I’m not encouraging anyone to go to the convention, having nothing to do with anything except I think they should stay home, campaign in their districts, use their financial and political resources to help them win their election,” Pelosi said in an exclusive interview for POLITICO Live’s On Congress, a new weekly show to be streamed live on POLITICO’s website and broadcast on NewsChannel 8 on Wednesdays.

The California Democrat suggested that since Barack Obama is an incumbent, there is less of a need for Democrats to attend the convention.
“We nominated a president last time. We have an incumbent President of the United States. We’re very proud of him. There certainly will be enough people there to express that pride, but I’m not encouraging members to go to the convention no matter what the situation was, because they can be home. It’s campaign time. It’s the first week in September,” she said.
In addition, Pelosi also wouldn’t commit to serving in the leadership of the 113th Congress.
“I wouldn’t assume anything,” she told POLITICO editor in chief John Harris and reporter Lois Romano. “I would just assume that Democrats would win and we would stop the obstruction of the President’s agenda. I think it’s fair to say that most people don’t have the faintest idea about leadership races in the Congress.”

A third possibility is giving Labor what it wants. AFL-CIO is not attending because NC is a “right to work” state.
BTW, Tea Partiers in NC - what gives? I sent an e-mail to the website, suggesting that the Tea Party commerate the 1898 Wilmington, NC riots during the RATs convention. That was when the RATs kicked the elected PUB administration plus all blacks out of town. No response.

Why do Pubbies always feel like they have to just bend over and take the voter fraud in every Election? Can’t something be done to stop this? If I lived in Milwaukee, Philly, Cleveland, Miami, Richmond or any other city known for voter fraud, I’d volunteer to be a poll watcher. Something has to be done. We can’t just always factor in that we need a 5 percent greater vote margin to offset voter fraud by the Dems. What the hell????
I read that they have already cut the length of the convention by one day. There was also talk of reducing the size of the venue because of the lack of participation.
All these signs do not bode well for the dims in general.

Better yet, move the convention to Hawaii, Las Vegas, or some exotic high rent place to show where the Democrats heads are at? Does Obama plan on attending? The Dems need another shot of Obama rhetoric to get them pumped don’t they, since he hasn’t’ done anything yet to make them relevant?
There are two thing seemingly at work here.
One, as has already been said on this thread, Obama and the national Dems are looking like albatrosses across the necks if down ticket candidates.
But equally if not more important is San Fran Nan’s financial resources comment. This bespeaks either actual or projected fundraising problems. I’d guess that even if Obama isn’t keeping up with Romney he IS, still, sucking up all sorts of $$$ that would otherwise go to down ticket candidates.
I think we do have very good poll watchers but what can you do? The courts/rules allow even the worst cases to be included then “later” they can be challenged. That is idiotic as you and I know, but now with holder controlling voter fraud there is no way it will be prosecuted and they know it!
She should be.
But if they know that Poll Watchers will be there or see them at the polling place, it might scare some of them off; especially the Illegals from Mexico.

I'm in a county outside of Houston and I have seen folks turned away because they were not on the voter registration list. I don't see why that is so hard to do but obviously proves the corruption in dem led areas.
Something seriously wrong in the commie party. Can’t guarantee unity and smiles all around? What would they even talk about? They can’t even say they want “4 more years” like the last 4 years.
Yeah, RATS, go work your home districts and explain your support for obamacare to the taxpayers and while your at it, why don’t you explain how those businesses that are still operating in your district that they “didn’t make that happen”.
