I have to wonder if all the Romney haters on this site were the same people who ran home to mom when they lost at games as kids. I did not vote for Romney in the primaries. If you asked anyone that knows me, they would say I am right of Reagan. What I don't understand is all of you that love this country, which I truly believe you do, that are willing to not vote for Romney and potentially allow this country to fail by re-electing Obama!, how does that make sense?
Semi?
You R seem to be unable to distinguish between a Philips head screw driver and a flat head - either way we are screwed.
Yes, RBMjr apparently subscribes to “Hope he’ll change,” first cousin to Obama’s “Hope and change.” And we all know how that one worked out. :^(
A publication about how to neuter the military vote... while this is certainly understandable from the raw unprincipled political point of view (far fewer servicemen vote Rat than Pub) it would be dynamite shame on the Rats for the GOP to release a copy of that nationally
It was leaked back when W went against Gore. The verbage explained that they needed to disallow as many overseas military votes as possible because they would overwhelmingly go to the Republican candidates (so much for the weeping and hand wringing over one million disenfranchised voters).
I received it as a scanned copy in my workcenter email. I wish I saved a copy of it. I’ve been trying to track it down ever since.
Mitt is capable of immense mischief. Nobody can doubt this.
I believe the hue and cry resulting from Mitt attempting to do Massachusetts redux at a Federal level, would somewhat moderate his practical approach. Others disagree.
I think there is an excellent chance that America will find out. Why?
Well, Barack keeps on shooting himself in the foot, doubling and tripling down on lies that are called as lies by major fact checking organizations. The nonsense gets Barack a small blip in the polls today from his base, but is bound to make him look worse in the longer term. And Barack hasn’t yet accused Mitt of being too liberal (except in the lying mudball he slung about Osama bin Ladin, where all of a sudden Barack is uncharacteristically playing the hawk) and so Mitt’s real faults will scarcely come into larger public view. Barack is, in a sense, Mitt’s best campaigner. One could almost wonder if Mitt and Barack have a deal under the table, where Barack will praise Mitt with lame damnation.
I agree with most of this statement. Unfortunately, the general GOP electorate is way too squishy moderate. There are not enough conservatives like those on FR. With nine challengers who split the non-Romney vote, it was 2008 all over again and we're left with McQueegII.
The flat head is more likely to slip out if it meets difficulty. Other than that, both are the same in the sense that they have a screwing function.
Principles in the voting booth are for children!
Either you have principles or you don’t. They’re tied to morals and character.
I would try to explain it to you but haven’t got it, you never had it and you just don’t get it.
Enough unrealized primary votes existed that any of the nine could have been made to walk all over Mitt. Virtually all the national celebration of the act of voting is over general elections. The politics that sets up the choice seen by voters in general elections has already long transpired by that time. Primaries are immensely important things. It would be worth a multi year campaign to try to drum that truth into the minds of the forgetful body politic.
“So R your hope is that Romney will change and cave to conservatives and give up his liberal ways.”
Romney is no different than Clinton, changing after his midterm wipeout and passing welfare reform and balancing the deficit....getting dragged kicking and screaming, but yet it happened due to Kasich, Newt and the GOP Congress.
Oh, we can cast him aside and get Obama. Now look at how he handled his midterm wipeout....he’s doubling down, because he is trying to ruin this country.
So, I see Romney, as much as I despised him as the better choice out of the two.
That too.
So many believe. But never, ever get in JR's face about it. That's apparently deemed trolling.
Sounds like irony to me.
Of course principles should illuminate your acts, public and private. Both sides of the debate appeal to principles. Methods are what is being debated. Should this matter be treated like, say, football, where what scores is straightforward? Or like chess in which opting for an apparent loss might set up for a later win?
You actually have know way of knowing that.
The best you can do is hope.
Sadly, the RINO/CINO squishes busily engineering yet another sadly inevitable (and yet, wholly avoidable) electoral curb-stomping for the Republican party, four years later, have only managed to render it that much more tellingly relevant, rather than less.
Some folks, it seems, not only never do learn... but take a peculiar, stiff-necked sort of pride in steadfastly REFUSING to do so.
Apologies.
I found the quote I posted sensible. Still do.
Thanks for the head’s up—I’ll not quote this bastard again.
Enjoy a good whipping now and then?
I’m honored, truly.
Your state is among the easier tasks ahead of us. One thousand signatures by Sept. 7.
I’m keep you informed about how it’s going.
God bless.
Is it supposed to be like frat hazing and one is expected to say “may I have another?” JR told me to osculate his posterior.
