Principles in the voting booth are for children!


Either you have principles or you don’t. They’re tied to morals and character.

I would try to explain it to you but haven’t got it, you never had it and you just don’t get it.

Sounds like irony to me.

Of course principles should illuminate your acts, public and private. Both sides of the debate appeal to principles. Methods are what is being debated. Should this matter be treated like, say, football, where what scores is straightforward? Or like chess in which opting for an apparent loss might set up for a later win?
