AUGUSTA, MaineDemocratic lawmakers are calling on Maine Gov. Paul LePage to apologize for his remarks comparing the Internal Revenue Service to the Gestapo.
The Democratic leaders of the House and Senate issued a statement Sunday calling LePage's language "intentionally offensive." Rep. Emily Cain and Sen. Justin Alfond said Holocaust survivors and Word War II veterans who witnessed the terror of the Adolph Hitler's secret police "should not be trivialized for political shock."

Of course the IRS being the gestapo is offensive, I would have compared them to the SS.

So now you have to apologize for telling the truth? Strange.
So when do y’all think he will walk it back?
Only liberals have the self-assigned moral superiority to compare their opponents to Nazis.
How about Komitet gosudarstvennoy bezopasnosti?
Seperated at birth?
GEheim STaats POlizei is just fine, in my view.
Should have thrown in the ATF and SWAT too, just for GP.
Yeah. Defend the IRS. That is a winning strategy.
Did Pelosi apologize for saying the first tea party groups displayed swastikas? Did Turbin Durbin apologize for likening U.S. soldiers to Nazis?
***** “I hope so too. The IRS considers themselves exempt from the Constitutionright of due process, innocent before guilty, etc. They may not be at Gestapo level of beating the crap out of you, but give them time. Theyre close enough for the cigar...” *****
They aren’t too far away from wearing Blue Helmets
(Wish I knew how to post pictures ... I have a neat one of a Blue Helmet riddled with lead poisoning)

I loath the way people claiming to speak for parties injured by Nazis attack those who warn us about similar threats. As though comparisons of Homeland Security, TSA and the IRS to Nazi, Soviet and Red Chinese counterparts somehow diminishes the terribleness of the former. It is the understanding of the evil and atrocities of socialist enforcers that brings us to make the comparisons. We ought not play with fire.
NEVER apologize for telling the truth and answer any demand to do so with that very same statement.

Calling the language of truth "intentionally offensive" should be put to the last survivors of the Gestapo, Hitler's private army made primarily of sadists. Those Progressive bright lights have nothing to offer but juvenile protests when caught in the wrong....again. Democrats? There are no more Democrats....Progressives are all that remain of that party.
Holy moly reincarnation.
List of some of the Democrats who have called Republicans “Nazis” or “fascists”, directly or indirectly.
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) - (Who later denied he had called the Republicans ‘Nazis’). (On Obamacare) “They say its a government takeover of health care, a big lie just like Goebbels. The Germans said enough about the Jews and people believed it believed it and you have the Holocaust.”
Nancy Pelosi said about health care protesters “They’re carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting...”
Jesse Jackson said, “In South Africa wed call it apartheid. In Germany wed call it Fascism. Here we call it Conservatism. These people are attacking the poor!”
2002, Jesse Jackson struck again when he condemned George W. Bushs political tactics during the 2000 presidential campaign as “Nazi-like”.
George Miller (D-CA) In August 1995, after the passage of Republican legislation, sore loser Democrat George Miller of California compared Republicans to Fascists when he said:
“Its a glorious day if youre a Fascist.”
Others who have directly or indirectly called Republicans Nazis or Fascists include:
Jerrold Nadler (D-NY)
In Albany on May 16, 2000, Democratic Party delegates spit at the honor guard made up of Albany State Troopers attending Hillary Clintons official acceptance of the Democratic nomination for the Senate held in Albany, calling them “Giulianis storm troopers.”
In another one of his anti-George Bush tirades in June 2004, Al Gore accused Republicans of working with “rapid response digital Brownshirts.”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. accused Republicans of using Nazi and Fascist tactics during the 2004 presidential campaign.
One of the biggest abusers of the “Republicans are Nazis” comparison is NAACP director Julian Bond. In February 2006, Bond, said that the “Republican flag and the Nazi flag fly side by side.”
