A family-owned restaurant in Pennsylvania is under a state discrimination investigation for offering a ten percent discount for diners who present a church bulletin on Sundays.
The Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission confirmed there is an investigation against Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen in the town of Columbia. The complaint was filed by John Wolff, a retired electrical engineer.
“I did this not out of spite, but out of a feeling against the prevailing self-righteousness that stems from religion, particular in Lancaster County,” Wolff told the York Daily Record. “I don’t consider it an earth-shaking affair, but in this area in particular, we seem to have so many self-righteous religious people, so it just annoys me.”

I am offended by this yahoo being ‘disturbed’ by “so many self-righteous religious people” which, the last I saw, was no against any law. This active investigation by the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission is legal blackmail by the most easily offended. The restaurant was obviously practicing thought crimes against the secularist cause.
Most of us, if we don’t like the business practices of a business, consider it sufficient to avoid that company. I personally will never do business with Progressive Insurance and anything else run by Peter Lewis who uses his wealth to fund Move-On and the like.
I hope that this case gets thrown out immediately! Unfortunately, this is government bureaucrats at work - not going to happen.
Wait till he tries this with a Muslim resturant.

As a vendor, I reserve the right to not serve John Wolff. And I wish I was closer to that restaurant so I could support them.
What’s the difference if you offer a discount or free item, for someone who brings in a church bulletin, or someone who brings in a passing report card? This is such B.S.
I guess its just easier these days to go find a lawyer and file a lawsuit instead of, y’know, going down the street to another restaurant.

Wow weird. Just go to any church parking lot and pick up a bulletin off the ground if you don’t want to go to church.
People give discounts for all sorts of reasons.

Good grief some people just have way to much time.
The fact that there is a gov’t office to complaine to about this means this is not the country I grew up in. And people should mind there own business....its not the complainers business......the nicest thing one could say about him is that he is a jackass....(don’t want to get banned for language). He should have been laughed out of the office with his complaint.
So government should rule to “offend” or “annoy” 99.99% of citizens to avoid “offending” or “annoying” .001% of citizens?
I wonder if he is also going to sue for not getting an AARP or Diners club discounts.
