The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.
Administration officials, speaking on condition they not be named, told reporters they expect to see an increase in the number of calls they get from Arizona police — but that won’t change President Obama’s decision to limit whom the government actually tries to detain and deport.
“We will not be issuing detainers on individuals unless they clearly meet our defined priorities,” one official said in a telephone briefing.
The official said that despite the increased number of calls, which presumably means more illegal immigrants being reported, the Homeland Security Department is unlikely to detain a significantly higher number of people and won’t be boosting personnel to handle the new calls.

Consider, though, what would've happened had Roberts stood with Scalia, Alioto and Thomas on the Arizona SB 1070 decision.
The outcome then would've been a 4-4 tie. Which would've left the 9th Circuit court's decision standing intact -- and the entirety of SB 1070 declared unconstitutional.
Did he vote as he did in order to salvage what he could? I don't know. But it makes for a certain logic...

Brewer would need to first purge the officer core of their National guard of traitorous officers who might traitorously show deference to Federal athoirty.
We cannot blindly ignore what has been done to the militia over the last 100 years. We have the power to undo it but that power requires asserting our rights and controlling the composition of the State defense forces.

Arizona, New Mexico and Texas need to join together and put their State National Guard troops on the border, and deputize thousands of volunteers to stem the flow of illegals. Any illegals caught are forced to walk back into Mexico. Forget ICE--they won't do nayhting but release them away from the border in OUR country, just for spite.Funding is achieved by skimming the costs off the state gasoline taxes.
