House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa told Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday that he has until Tuesday morning to produce Operation Fast and Furious documents or his committee will be voting to hold him in contempt of Congress on Wednesday.
“[O]nly the delivery of documents outlined and offered by the Department of Justice last Thursday to staff will be sufficient to justify a postponement of Wednesday’s scheduled vote,” Issa wrote to Holder on Monday afternoon. “As the department has not yet produced these document – and unless it does so tomorrow morning – I will not be able to offer you the committee’s assessment of them at tomorrow’s meeting.”
In a letter to Issa earlier in the day, Holder asked to meet at 11 a.m. Issa responded that the meeting will take place at 5 p.m. — only after his committee staff can review the promised Fast and Furious documents.
In his letter, Holder argued he had taken “extraordinary” steps to accommodate Issa’s subpoena. Issa shot back, saying, “There is nothing extraordinary about an offer from a federal agency to fully or partially respond to a subpoena.”
Issa also said nothing “short of full compliance” will be “sufficient” for him to “negotiate” a “delay of contempt proceedings” because Holder has not specified what documents he plans to give the committee this week and has not provided a “log that includes descriptions of documents, the dates they were created, who created them, and individualized explanations for why the department believes these documents should not be produced pursuant to the subpoena.”
It’s unclear if Holder will actually produce the documents in time to halt the contempt of Congress vote. His spokeswoman, Tracy Schmaler, wouldn’t answer when The Daily Caller asked if he will.
I like the way they address him as “The Honorable Eric H. Holder, Jr.”
Should be addressed: “The Horrible Eric H. Holder, Jr.”

Tuesday A.M. is nearly history. Am expecting a vote on Tuesday afternoon or sometime Wednesday (in committee) and then silence. Not hopeful, though am praying am wrong.
“Will” push it? How about “Has” pushed it! The guy has been given way more opportunity that any of us would have gotten!
I hope so too, but I have my doubts. I would not be surprised to see this drag on until well after the election. (I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised).
Don’t you think its better if it stays in the news? I’d also rather no criminal charges until Obama is out of office and can’t pardon him.

If the Contempt vote isn’t accompanied by US Marshall Service deputies taking Holder out of office in an Orange jumpsuit and manacle, then what good is it?
What exactly does a contempt vote do to this guy?
Better yet...how about a task force of State Police officers from all of the 50 States, to remove him...?

Well...to give the guy credit at least he’s going after Holder publically...
But as I said earlier...what exactly does a contempt vote accomplish? If it’s not accompanied by removal, prosecution, etc., what good is it?
No one will challenge Obama on his unconstitutional executive orders because he’s black and no one will impeach Holder because he’s black. See a pattern here? America was destroyed because black politicians flash their race cards for immunity from accountability for their actions.

Roger that, and they’re REAL big on using physical force (ala the coercive kind from the State that dresses in Ninja black, body armor, and carries little German Machine Guns) to get what they want as well.

If holder is held in contempt by the full house, I THINK... that the US Atty for DC puts it to a grand jury.
If that’s the case, it’s not going anywhere fast. The DC US Atty is an 0dumbo appointee and obviously reports to Holder.
It will soon be time to begin subpoenas for others. ATF people, DHS people, etc. Squeeze.

So what does the contempt vote accomplish? Other than to point out what we already know Holder to be, that is...
I still think holder will be gone soon. I know nothing more than the rest of us... the legion of dead people who knew enough to damage the regime is about to grow.

I mentioned a State Police task force earlier; if the Fed law enforcement won’t arrest their “fed brothers”, why aren’t the combined law forces of the Governors stepping in to enforce the law - ESPECIALLY governors from the border states where the criminal actions occurred.
I’m having a difficult time understanding why there is NO ONE capable of bringing a blatant criminal to justice...when, at any given moment, any one of us is subjected to the mind-numbing ordeal of dealing with a hundred thousand stupid laws, regulations, ordinances, etc., and any number of cops who can’t wait to bust you for any one of them.
what i meant by “squeeze” is to have a half dozen others up for contempt. Others who may or may not be so cozy w/ the won... although I’m not sure who that would be... anyone w/ knowledge is a candidate.
So.......what happened?
