I've done my best to live up to the example provided by my Dad - thank you very much for your service to our Nation. I could go on at great length about my family - we've rendered military service to the Nation since the Revolution. Numerous uncles served in WWII - cousins in 'Nam - nephews now. God Bless them all!

I saw the show and it was fantastic! Better than I had anticipated. Full electric band , Lucas Hubbard on a Gibson SG electric guitar.
I had a bottle of beer and a corny dog
They were playing Wanna Rock and roll when I left. Lucas(his Son) wrote that with Cody Canada when he was like 12 years old, Ray was busting he was so proud.

I’ve just started looking at our military service, and found out that my great-granddad served with the 16th Mississipi Cavalry in the Civil War.
Like you, my Dad entered service toward the end of WWII and I have uncles who served then and in Korea. Dad retired after a tour in Vietnam.

Glad you enjoyed the show....did you leave early on purpose?
Yes, I got the dishwasher. KitchenAid as recommended by our inspector. I was even able to get the same model. It will be delivered mid week, next week. She had to order the black one.

You come from a great family, Jinxie!
I have a GGG-Grandfather Cpl. William Murphy, born in Ireland about 1832, who came to America and served with Battery "C", Fifth U.S. Artillery in the the Civil War. He took part in every engagement of the Army of the Potomac from September 1861 until his discharge near Petersburg, Va. at the end of his term of service in September 1864. He was wounded by shrapnel at the Clump of Trees, Gettysburg, PA 3July1863 during Pickett's Charge.
My GG-Grandfather, John R. Brison, served in the 1st Virginia Light Artillery. Captured near Winchester, Va. in June 1862, he was imprisoned at Fort Delaware and ultimately paroled. He moved to Philadelphia where he met and married Julia Murphy, the daughter of Cpl. William Murphy. The story I heard is that William pulled out his service pistol and went out after John - luckily for me, he didn't get him, or I wouldn't be here.
