On eve of health ruling, Ruth Bader Ginsburg predicts 'sharp disagreement' By: Kyle Cheney June 15, 2012 07:23 PM EDT
With a wry smile, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg laid waste Friday to all those rumors about the fate of the Affordable Care Act in the Supreme Court.
Those who know dont talk. And those who talk dont know, she quipped Friday night at a conference hosted by the American Constitution Society at the Capital Hilton.
Ginsburg said she was responding to a "steady stream of rumors and fifth-hand accounts" about the court's deliberations on the law.

Careful not to tip her hand on the courts ruling expected in the next two weeks Ginsburg described the oral arguments in the case as unprecedented for the number of press conferences, prayer circles, protests and counterprotests that occurred on the courthouse steps.
Although she offered no insight into the tightly held decisions of her colleagues, Ginsburg did indicate that many of the courts decisions over the next two weeks which are also expected to include an FCC indecency ruling might be close.
The 21 remaining decisions, she said, were many of the most controversial cases that the court reviewed this term.
It is likely that the sharp disagreement rate will go up next week and the week after, she said.
Although the oral arguments on the ACA spanned six hours over three days, she noted that a case cited during those arguments McCullough v. Maryland featured oral arguments that spanned nine days over two months.

When did she wake up?
ping
She’s a sharp one!
Her remarks sounds to me like those of a bitter old hag who just got done writing the minority dissent FOR Obamacare......her statements give me hope that the whole thing is going to be struck down.

THIS MAKES ME THINK NOT:
With a wry smile, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg laid waste Friday to all those rumors about the fate of the Affordable Care Act in the Supreme Court.
And that she probably had a (Gloating) smile.
It makes me worried.
No s**t, Shirley.
ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
I think you are correct. Sour grapes from the sour puss...
Interesting that she took up the very example of Scalia's, to me, not very adept argument about what Congress could mandate Americans buy. I wonder whether that was intentional or not. My guess is that it was unintemtional and she's let the cat out, that the mandate will be rejected while the rest of it stands. (the unsustainable outcome).
That opening line is nothing more than journalistic spin, because I’m not sure what a “wry smile” is nor do her statements “lay waste” to anything.
She simply sounds like a bitter old leftist who hasn’t been getting her way lately and Polictico is doing it’s best to spin it.
I pray that when it comes time to replace this old hag there is a conservative Repulican president in office with enough guts to replace her with someone who understands the constitution.
Quote of the Year.
Well, we’ll simply have to wait and see how the “wise Latina” feels about this...
Been awhile since I heard that myth.
Isn’t she suppose to remain quiet?
Take a moment and say a prayer for her soul.
