An oasis of liquid methane has unexpectedly been discovered amid the tropical dunes of Saturn's moon Titan, researchers say.
This lake in the otherwise dry tropics of Titan hints that subterranean channels of liquid methane might feed it from below, scientists added.
Titan has clouds, rain and lakes, like Earth, but these are composed of methane rather than water. However, methane lakes were seen only at Titan's poles until now its tropics around the equator were apparently home to dune fields instead.

Fascinating!
I’ve always thought that oil and natural gas was the byproduct of decayed vegetation.
Now we find there’s energy sources on worlds/moons that never had vegetation.
Now I wonder how much energy is stored within earth’s mantle, just waiting to be explored??
Did you know that Methane is a “greenhouse gas” and should be regulated, fined, or jailed, according to the EPA.
Now, if only we could send all the top EPA leaders to Titan to check it out. One engine ignition during landing should do it.
Methane is natural gas.. must have been Dinos and Plants on Titan...
Wonder if there be any oil or coal there..
In other news, authorities of the state of Maryland are planning to erect a casino there.
The organic plant life that created it ust have been extraordinary
