The judge who revoked George Zimmerman's bond did so after he determined that it was "apparent" that Zimmerman's wife had lied under oath, and clear that Zimmerman "does not properly respect the law."
Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester revoked Zimmerman's bond on June 1, but his written order was filed Monday. In it, Lester lays out his rationale.

Since George was in hiding, the PayPal account may or may not have been in the exclusive control of his brother. We should find out more at the June 29th hearing.
Yes, it would appear from the (possibly edited) transcripts from the jailhouse phone records that at least some of the money had been transferred into George and/or Shellie's account before the bond revocation hearing on June 1. I don't remember the details. And I also don't trust the prosecution's transcripts, since they edited Shellie's testimony at the original bail hearing to remove her offer to get the brother-in-law on the phone to confirm the PayPal account.
Since Judge Lester did not give GZ or MOM the opportunity to prepare for the bail revocation hearing, we have no way of knowing what was going through GZ or SZ’s minds. Since they solicited the money for legal fees and living expenses, they may have thought it would be fraud to use the money for bail. Who knows? Hopefully, we will find out more on June 29th.
Zimmerman did the proper and moral thing -- he killed an evil thug who was attempting kill him. All thugs should be dispatched in such manner.
An armed society is a polite society. I wish everyone was armed.
The evil left has corroded our society to the point that America is close to being pushed into a third-world sewer. The evil left's Great Society programs have breed countless psychopathic deviants such as Trayvon.
Well, it’s reached about 300, time for me to go, got stuff to do.
I appreciate all the warm things you guys have said today. I’ll try and remember them the next time.
Thanks all for re-confirming that which I already knew.
Seriesly though, if anyone can come up with that troll list, I’d like to see it...toodles
Another indication that he’s left of center is found in his description of himself. From his own profile. I find this interesting for someone who wants to run with the conservatives:
“I have usually voted Republican, but will vote for the best candidate, regardless of party, or not vote I am over 60, post-college educated I believe in one God, but I do not adhere to any organized religious belief Depending on where I am, I occasionally go to Mass, Mosques, and Temples because I find the atmospheres pleasant and conducive to thinking, although I have not visited any since 9/11 I do not believe there is a hell, and I hope there is an afterlife.”
Bravo for an excellent post. Your logic is impeccable.
For comparison notice the door behind him. Standard door height is 6' 8"s. Given the perspective from the photograph the door should look even taller than it actually is compared to Trayvon.
Great. Now stuart has to take time out to look up "obtuse".
MileHi FTW!
stuartcr for thefail!
After your performance today, that's a futile thought.
I don’t know or care who BB is, but exposing your deception and lies has been FUN!
****.
Please read actual information about the Zimmerman case before posting.
Better?
LOL! For the purpose of this thread, "trolling" is close enough.
BB King
Thanks.
That is the logic of a five year old opining "what if the world never existed?"
It doesn't lead to knowledge or wisdom of anything. It's the intellectual equivalent of a dog chasing its own tail. It's a journey between point A and point A covering no ground in between.
"Just think, if the girl didn't look good she never would have been raped."
Same thing. It's just a means for turning cause and effect on its head and blaming the existence of people for what happens to people while they exist.
I think there's a 3" difference (but certainly not 7"). Compare actual measurement versus actual measurement instead of what somebody claimed versus actual measurement.
Trayvon's DL is based on what he said. If you're 5'11", as the autopsy showed, and you're a guy, you're likely to say 6'0". I certainly have a brother who does.
Or maybe Trayvon was 6'0".
It doesn't excuse FR members from frequently saying Trayvon was 6"-7" taller - and we keep seeing FR members state that Trayvon was 6'-3" or 6'-4".
We've been annoyed at false statements that keep being repeated by the media and those who want to lynch Zimmerman. We shouldn't continue to repeat similar false statements that favor Zimmerman.
So, now you're admitting that he wasn't in his truck when the dispatcher said "we don't need you to do that?" Thereby admitting that your previous posts claiming that the dispatcher told him to stay in his "car" were deliberate falsehoods.
We're not discussing any "kid" on this thread.
You were probably defending Adam Flanders over on this thread (WEB COMPANY CENSORS 'PUBLIC' LETTER), and mistakenly wandered over here.
Adam is "into" kids, and we're sure you wouldn't let his views go undefended - after all, everybody over there is just "agreeing with each other"...
No need to thank me for pointing out your "wrong thread" post - happy to be helpful! :-)
Whatever he feels like doing. It seems he doesn't feel obliged to adhere to binding precedent or statutory law. I don't recall him finding the state's case met the " guilt is evident or the presumption great" standard, and that's a pre-requisite for denial of bail.
I'm working my way through FL precedent on other conditions that support denial of bond, like danger to the community and flight risk. I'd like to find authority for the proposition that Zimmerman's disrespect is adequate justification for denial of bail. I mean, if he shows up out of fear of punishment (rather than out of respect), he still submitting to the court. I'd show up at court, myself, and as far as I'm concerned, the court is presumed full of self important dishonest pricks.
I think he'll grant bail. If he doesn't know he risks reversal of this opinion, he's quite a bit less intelligent than I credited him with. But then, seems he's indifferent about being reversed on appeal.
-- If he raises the bond, where will the money come from? --
It ends up being a new bond. He has to do the same "how much do you have" routine, again, and Zimmerman has $15,000 less now than he did the first time around. Maybe the bail bondsman is Lester's brother in law or something.
-- If he refuses to allow bond, that sounds like being punitive ... --
He's hemmed in by the FL constitution, FL statutes, and FL Supreme Court precedent. He has to make a certain finding in order to justify denial of bail. To the best of my recollection, he hasn't come close to making any finding that supports denial of bail.
If you have actual proof instead of supposition then please provide it.
