Totally off topic from hockey, I heard something of trivial interest on the Dan Patrick Show. This year's NBA Finals will be the first time ever a championship series in any of the four major sports will have no team names ending in an 's'. The Heat and Thunder break new ground in that regard.
...and now back to the main thrust of this thread.
