US Weekly is the latest media outlet to withdraw an article about the Obamas. Friday evening, the celebrity gossip magazine posted an article online entitled Sasha Obama Hosts 11th Birthday Party at Red Robin.
The article has since been pulled, but the URL with the title remains in Google search: http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/sasha-obama-hosts-11th-birthday-party-at-red-robin-201286. Clicking through gives this message from US: "OOPS! The page youre looking for isnt here. But dont give up!", followed by instructions to use their search engine.
The text of the pulled article read:
Sasha Obama is excited about turning 11 -- so much so that the First Daughter celebrated the occasion several days early at Red Robin in Dulles, Virginia!
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama's youngest daughter -- whose actual birthday is June 10 -- joined her mother, 48, older sister Malia, 13, and 10 friends for a low-key birthday bash last week, Us Weekly can confirm.

The group dined on a variety of items, including chicken sandwiches, cheeseburgers with avocado and milkshakes. "Before leaving the restaurant, the First Lady left a generous tip for the server and tapped management on the shoulder to let them know 'everything was wonderful and the girls had a great time,'" a source adds.

The girls' father, Barack, 50, was not in attendance -- not that he wasn't there in spirit. He's currently in the midst of a reelection campaign, and on June 7, the former Illinois senator met with 25 young Hollywood stars -- including Jessica Alba, 31, Zachary Quinto, 35, DiannaAgron, 26, Ian Somerhalder, 33, and Sophia Bush, 29 -- at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

"Just spent my morning with [POTUS] talking about green energy, a better America and being a young American," Vampire Diaries star Somerhalder tweeted. "Wow."

The article was picked up last night by Yahoo! Movies and was online there as of this writing.
The Obama administration has successfully cowed the media into disappearing articles about public travels by the Obama children this year. Articles about eldest daughter Malia's Mexico vacation with classmates from Sidwell Friends school were taken down under pressure for alleged security and privacy reasons. Last month articles and a photograph about Malia attending a One Direction concert in Fairfax, Virginia, were similarly pulled. Now this article about Sasha's birthday party at a public restaurant accompanied by her mother, the First Lady.
The Obamas pick and choose when they want their daughters in the spotlight. In February, the Obama reelection campaign started running Web ads featuring Sasha and Malia with their parents.

The Obama campaign is selling campaign buttons and refrigerator magnets with the same photo of the Obama children with their parents. The image is a taxpayer funded photograph taken by official White House photographer Pete Souza.
Say what? Who cares?
Actually speaks volumes about you that you would notice and even bring up such a thing.
Statements like yours encourage me to read a person’s posting history.
Thanks, it’s been very enlightening.
Define “expensive.” Hell, even McD’s and Burger are starting to get too expensive with their combo meals. I make less than 30,000 a year.
No, it was probably because of this
“The girls’ father, Barack, 50, was not in attendance — not that he wasn’t there in spirit. There’s not a lot of healthy eating going on at a Red Robin. It’s good, but you better go there hungry.
As long as Odumo’s actions affect my kids and their futures, his rugrats are far game.
Their garlic fries are heavenly. I could eat them for a meal with nothing else.
Who cares? Isn’t she the chubby, nappy headed, ugly daughter of the two. Malia, the older one is the pretty one. They made fun of Bristol Palin and Meghan McCain alot didn’t they?

You know what the more I thought of it I should apologize about what I said about his younger daughter Sasha. Why stoop to their level, thats wrong. She’s a cute little kid who can’t help who her parents are.
