The Lynching of George Zimmerman
American Thinker ^ | 06/09/2012 | Anthony W. Hager

Posted on 06/09/2012 10:07:18 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

George Zimmerman's public image took a blow when a judge revoked his bond, alleging that Zimmerman willfully misled the court concerning his financial situation. The fact that he's back in jail makes him appear guilty in the public's eye, and that's what matters. Whether or not Zimmerman misled the court is immaterial. In fact, his guilt or innocence is immaterial. His trial has transcended justice; it's now about capitalizing on opportunity.

Zimmerman has maintained since day one that Trayvon Martin instigated their fatal confrontation. Zimmerman's various injuries coupled with autopsy results revealing Martin's injured knuckles tend to support his story. That evidence might be the reason why he wasn't charged immediately after the shooting. Yet he remains guilty until proven innocent in the eyes of many, including the federal government and national media.

Could there be an orchestrated campaign between government and media entities to see this man imprisoned, or even executed? Despite the physical evidence of which we're aware, an apparent lack of credible witnesses on either side of the case, and expert legal opinion belittling Florida's case against Zimmerman, the FBI has launched a hate crime investigation against him. And it could stick.

We might logically believe that the Fifth Amendment's protection against double jeopardy would compel the Justice Department to abandon the case if Zimmerman is acquitted. Not necessarily. According to Cleveland State Professor Jonathan Witmer-Rich, Supreme Court precedent has established a narrow threshold for claiming double jeopardy. "The double jeopardy clause would not prohibit a federal prosecution of Mr. Zimmerman, even if he were acquitted in Florida state court," Prof. Rich states, although he believes that the likelihood of federal prosecution following a state acquittal is small. However, FBI involvement means Department of Justice involvement, which in turn means Eric Holder involvement.

Dee Dee said that he said he was right by his dad’s house.

The day after the shooting, Brandy Green (TM stepmom wannabe) was interviewed by a local station and said “He was just sitting on the porch”. Why did Brandy have reason to believe he had been on the porch that night? What did he leave there?

Let's get a few things straight.

I'm sure your intentions are good, but you people just ain't getting the message..

And you people have had months to figure this out.

GOT IT NOW?

Good.

Now you all can get back to what you people do best;  bathing  yourselves in each other's spraying saliva.

Carry on.

I’ve read the Florida law, and unless I’m misremembering, someone who initiates a violent felonious assault cannot later claim self-defense as full justification for the ensuing homicide. They can probably use what happened after the start of the fight to get the charge down a notch or two. But not to make it go away.

And I’m fully aware that “who started it” is often difficult to determine, one of the problems with the various “stand your ground” laws. Who was defending himself and who was perpetrating an assault justifying lethal force is very often hard to figure out after the fact.

In some of these cases, a guy walks simply because the only person who could contradict his story is no longer able to talk. This could conceivably give someone an incentive to make sure the other guy doesn’t survive, something that is IMO troubling.

A serious problem with SYG is that it tends to assume that of the two parties to a dispute one is the perpetrator and the other the defender. But anybody who’s ever seen a barfight or a high school fracas can bear witness to the fact that this is by no means always the case. Quite often both guys are aggressors. So if one of them happens to kill the other, should we automatically assume the survivor was defending himself appropriately with lethal force?

and why is his forehead chopped off in that photogallery so the hairline doesn't show???

You are asking the wrong person. Ask the person who took the Facebook picture in the first place or the people who took down his Facebook page after his death.

The hairline in picture #3 is visible. Isn't the one in picture #3 the same as in #5 -- the golden teeth one with the sleeveless white undershirt.

You are saying that these are not Trayvon but the journalists at the Orlando Sentinel who included them in the photogallery say they are. If it's not Trayvon, then who is it???

BTW that is Trayvon in those other pictures with the baseball cap on giving the finger to the camera, isn't it???

"Starting it" does not, by itself, remove your right to self-defense.

Well, yes it does. Under some circumstances at least.

Florida statute 776.041 Use of force by aggressor.—The justification described in the preceding sections of this chapter is not available to a person who: (1) Is attempting to commit, committing, or escaping after the commission of, a forcible felony; or (2) Initially provokes the use of force against himself or herself, unless:

(a) Such force is so great that the person reasonably believes that he or she is in imminent danger of death or great bodily harm and that he or she has exhausted every reasonable means to escape such danger other than the use of force which is likely to cause death or great bodily harm to the assailant; or

(b) In good faith, the person withdraws from physical contact with the assailant and indicates clearly to the assailant that he or she desires to withdraw and terminate the use of force, but the assailant continues or resumes the use of force.

Aggravated assault and aggravated battery are forcible felonies under FL law. If you are in the process of committing one of these crimes, you lose the right to claim self-defense unless you fall under one of the exceptions to the exceptions above.

A black mob attacked two white reporters in Norfolk, Virginia. Again, neither Holder nor the media showed interest. Not even the newspaper where the reporters worked reported the story. Four "minorities" beat a soldier in Tampa, Florida, and the result is deafening silence. The Justice Department hasn't launched a hate crimes investigation, and no civil rights leader has scheduled a march.

What's is called when whites get beat up and 'don't' fight back - don't defend themselves?

While the Zimmerman/Martin ‘white’ on black killing is covered 24/7 on the MSM with an outpouring of rage and charges of a racial hate crime, where is the concern- where is the rage about the home invasion, torture, beating, rape and murder of the elderly white couple by a gang of feral blacks in Oklahoma just a few weeks ago?

The 90 year old war veteran husband was beaten and his jaw broken. He was shot in the face numerous times with a BB gun and sent to the hospital in critical condition.

The 85 year old partially blind wife was RAPED and then BEATEN TO DEATH.

Can you just imagine the pain, the humiliation, the horror that dear old lady experienced being gang raped by that pack of feral animals?

(the autopsy states she was raped. Don’t think all of these animals didn’t all participate)

And can you imagine the pain, the horror of that dear old husband having to witness this?

Mr. Strait died from his injuries last week.

There’s a lot more involved here than a home invasion and robbery.

WHERE ARE THE CHARGES OF A RACIAL HATE CRIME??

90 year old husband’s jaw broken and shot in face with a BB gun numerous times?

85 wife year old semi blind wife RAPED and BEATEN to death??

Why does it take a foreign press to enlighten America as to this henious crime?

WHERE IS THE NATIONAL OUTRAGE?

Have they caught the rest of the gang of feral blacks who raped, tortured and murdered this elderly woman? Are they even looking? Not a word about it in the media.

You’re right, even if you start a fight if a person does not let up after you are on the ground begging for help you have every right to stop the beating and defend yourself.

Why didn’t Martin stop once Zimmerman was on the ground begging for help out loud? Why did he keep on banging his head on the sidewalk? Anyone who would take that without fighting back is a pu&&y. It’s not like Zimmerman shot him six times either; just once to get him to stop.

Thank you for providing the correction. IMHO the photo you object to looks more like Paris Lewis, so I hear you bro.

I posted a link to a photo from CNN. Are you also saying that the photo at the link is incorrect?

Isn’t the ‘point’ that the MSM was pushing the photo of Trayvon from YEARS ago, and not a current photo that would show his TRUE SIZE and AGE ????

Can you explain why Trayvon Martin's hairline changes in different photos?

My guess is that the photo on the left (with the child) is not Trayvon, but his cousin.

One person said it was because it makes the consumer “lean” as in standing bent or tilted.

Yes, as in hard to stand up straight. Knees bent, difficult to walk. Disoriented.

The pic on the right in the “Media Bias” pic is not Martin.

Thanks. I stand corrected. I merely posted it for the 'media bias' attribute. I didn't 'create' the picture.

So why didn't the media use a picture of Mr. Zimmerman when he was 14 ?

What ever happened to Brandy Green, the mistress/fiancee? The media keep showing Tracy Martin with his original wife, to the point that one might wonder if they are going to get back together again. One might even hope for this.
