Network misrepresents microfilm birth record as Obama's
On the heels of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse’s investigative trip to Hawaii, CNN pulled out old material – including microfilm misrepresented as Barack Obama’s birth certificate – to run a report called “Busting the Birther Conspiracy Theory.”
In the segment, broadcast May 30, reporter Gary Tuchman declared his intention to refute conclusively the contention Obama’s birth certificate is fraudulent.
Some careful observers, however, objected that the Tuchman report was a rebroadcast of material that CNN originally broadcast last year and possibly even earlier.
Moreover, CNN showed a microfilm copy of a birth certificate as if it were Obama’s original 1961 record. But it turned out to be someone else’s birth certificate.
At approximately the 1:22 mark of the segment, CNN displayed a microfilm copy of what viewers were led to believe was Obama’s birth certificate.
Close examination of a screen capture as seen in Exhibit 1 makes clear that the document is not Obama’s.
As seen in Exhibit 2, when the microfilm birth certificate is enlarged, the number appears to end with the digits “000,” while the computer-generated long-form birth certificate displayed on the White House website on April 27, 2011, bears the number “10641.”

The new verifications issued by Alvin T. Onaka Ph.D. puts himself and the HI DOH at risk of aiding and abetting in a matter of criminal fraud. By submitting something to Arizona, Sheriff Joe could potentially issue warrants to arrest the HI registrar and others. Wonder if they realize that??

Well back in the day, many have argued that Obama was born in Hawaii (jus soli ABs) on FR and therefore eligible for Pres, but their numbers have dwindled under the avalanche of evidence. Most have moved onto “believing” that Obama was lying then and not now about being born in Kenya so he is still. I suppose these types of ABs are somewhere running around here too, but are muted by the overwhelming preponderance of evidence.
Then there were a few, back in the day, (probably still around here somewhere) who believed that the underage mother Dunham could transmit her US citizenship (making Obama NBC) regardless if Obama was born overseas and received that he got a foreign citizenship at birth.
I think the most prominent ABs who are still around usually argue that the 14th Amendment modified the NBC clause or that NBC always meant being born jus soli because that what Great Britain considered births under the Crown to control (not totally true) their empire without regard to alien parents. Some of these jus soli ABs have a foreign spouses and are emotional and not objective about the subject so they “believe” that their offspring are NBC.
Then there are still those who believe that just having American parents is good enough to be an US NBC when the child is born in a foreign country. But this runs counter to the US jus soli only afterbirther argument. This only parents argument denies the country of origin of birth the same, unless the ABs think that you can be a natural born citizen of more than one country. So many variations!
However Phil, when it comes to contemporary ABs on FR, you know better than I since you seem to seek and give them (These days I only occasionally do so) your effective, rhetoric answers. :-)

What a crock of horsesh!t. CNN are liars. I just watched the video and stopped the frame, and it looks like that BC is for a child born to parents with first names Francis and Mildred. It also looks like the certificate number is 151 60 05009.

This is a retread of a CNN video from the day before they released the long-form birth certificate. In the original version, Tuchman showed the OLD short-form as the “computer generated” document and the narrator said it was made public 3 years ago. Now, a year along, they edited it and added in that fake-looking computer-generated long form copy that looks like the Nordyke versions, but which doesn’t have Obama’s data on it. And then the voice over lies and says it was made public 4 years ago. As usual, they blur the image so you can’t prove that it’s not his. But it’s not.
