In 2009, the New York Times had a heartbreaking story on the hatred and prejudice that single mothers receive in South Korea, for bringing up children without husbands. They are fired from their jobs, ostracized by their families, evicted from their apartments, and their children are shamed in school and made to wish they had never been born. This has resulted in South Korea having a 2 percent illegitimacy rate, compared to a 40 percent illegitimacy rate for Americans.
The Times notes that a shocking 96 percent of single mothers who get pregnant, have abortions. That is the huge price that South Korea pays for its 2 percent illegitimacy rates. About 70 percent of the babies who are born, are given to foreigners for adoption, because the mothers want to avoid the shame of single parenthood. If one was to compare South Korean culture (which aborts 96 percent of babies born to single parents) to black American culture that encourages a 70 percent ilegitimacy rate, which of the two cultures is a more moral culture?
Shame is an important emotion for rational humans with consciences. People who feel no shame when contemplating or performing shameful actions are worse than animals. So now we have a population with a large feral animal consciousness. What to do next?
Well, many people have a lot of ideas, but here is what (IMHO) will happen.
The ongoing economic collapse will speed up, and fedgov will no longer be able to provide for the many millions it provides for. Many will die, and of the ones who survive, some happy few will learn personal responsibility, some will become cunning criminals who hopefully will meet justice.
In the meantime, civil disruption is inevitable even apart from the economic collapse, due to commie crap larding DC and many states. And now racist violence is fomented by the left for lo these many years and now brought to a head of steam by the steaming pile running the country. So the path from “here” to “there” (meaning a place with solutions) is fraught with danger, hardship and violence, and there is no way around it.
I agree; “right there in the middle of it, making it worse” or creating it in the first place!
And also that many problems have no solution. Time fixes many problems in that the problems run their course, people learn/or don’t learn, life goes on, and new problems take their place. The desire to make this world “perfect” creates a perfect hell. We’re here to learn, and learning generally involves getting rapped on the knuckles with a ruler.
The basic problem is that the human species is programmed to want to start families at age 16 - 20, and not 25 - 35. The solution is that it has to again become both economically and socially possible for people to marry and start families in their late teens and early twenties, as was the norm in 1850.

I place a lot of blame on feminism. The very foundation of feminism is evil. And it is no accident that the promoting of homosexuality started right around the same time as the whole shebang of feminism and the “sexual revolution”. Reducing humans to a set of genitals that rule and the rest of the body just follows their orders. I went to a few feminist “womens’ liberation” meetings run by UC Berkeley “wymmyn” in the late 60s, I was a teenager living on my own with a room mate in Berkeley. The room mate was a woman almost 30, a friend of a friend. I went to the meetings becase I was wild and crazy. There was free marijuana being passed around so I managed to sit through I think 3 meetings.
The feminists ranted on and on about Evil Patriarchy and by the last meeting I attended they started in on how much they hated all men, and lusted for other wymmyn. That was it for me, I knew even in my druggie condition that feminism was based on hatred and envy for men, perverted lust, and power madness. Then my room mate started making sexual advances which tied the lid on the creepy horribleness of feminism.
Feminism and homosexualism are joined at the hip, and hatred for all natural authority, which is ultimately God Himself as represented by Natural Law.
Exactly. Young people of marriageable age are not being encouraged towards marriage, rather they are told to "party" and "have fun" and focus on developing their education. I am discussing "socially possible" for early marriage and starting a family, here: There is no reason encouraging education and career development can't occur along with encouraging young people towards marriage.

Unfair or not, it is women who get pregnant. So, they have to be personally responsible and not be sluts, due to the consequences.
That being said, those men who get girls pregnant and do not assume responsibilities need to be chastised themselves and locked up. Their irresponsible action causes the society to pay for the bastards.
The solution I see to this problem in any cultural context is:
1. Chastise both females and males to the point that their lives become living hell. They should be made an example out of.
2. Do not pay for any kind of welfare benefits to the slut mothers, so they think before spreading their legs again. (slut-mothers usually give birth annually)
3. Eliminate abortion so that the slut-mothers can’t kill their children.
4. With no abortion option and no welfare benefits, the slut-mothers will have to give up the children up for adoption. The children will have happy homes and the sluts will either have to improve themselves, or go through the process again.

To speed along acceptance of “single motherhood,” the left has successfully conflated them with “widows.” Widows and single mothers have NOTHING in common.
Study after study shows (see Ann Coulter’s “Demonic”) that the children of widows do just as well as those from two-parent families: they finish school, they don’t go to prison, and they get married themselves to raise children.
You can’t say any of those things about the poor bastards (and I mean that literally) raised by unmarried women. They don’t have a chance in life.
I do not endorse either abortion or illegitimacy. But, in my opinion, the black American culture is more humane and moral than South Korean culture. While I admire Korean people, I think their culture is too judgemental. Do you agree?
Do you live in the USA? Do you read any news on FR? If the answer to both questions is “yes”, then you are insane. Black culture is more admirable than S.Korean? Don’t make me puke.
Nice idea, but you've waited until the horse is well out of the barn already. You aren't addressing the male half of the equation and male behavior, just the consequences in the woman's body.
It's funny how people treat female pregnancy as if it's some sort of black box situation where oh, she's knocked up, how in the world did that happen. A man made it happen. Oh, she didn't keep her legs closed. Great, but now how many modern men expect all women of childbearing years to be practicing contraception of one form or another, and to be fully sexually available during "dating" (I guess courtship is dead).

"Slut mothers" can only bear one child in a nine month period, with the exception of twins or more. Slut fathers on the other hand can impregnate any number of women in the same time frame. Let's heap some shame on slut fathers.
Yes. Pretty much. And there are many reasons for it. I remain single because of the marginal cost analysis of getting involved in a human pair-bonding situation. Not a good investment.

If you are willing to research the results of single motherhood, you might decide the answer is to encourage families to be bigger rather than to encourage the rabbit breeding of mindless, amoral sluts.
South Korea could offer benefits to large families if they want a larger population.
Incomplete data results in bogus logic.
Even 100% of 2% is less than 50% of 40%.
The estimates are that in the US there is 1 abortion for every 2 illegitimacies. So the correlation is just opposite of what the author claims.
In short, we are presented with bad data and then given a bogus choice based on that bad data.
Next, the author will tell us that gay couples produce no illegitimate births and no abortions and therefore they are superior.
What ever happened to the Bob Grant Mandatory Sterilization Act? Seemed to be a modest proposal that could have worked.
