Female pilot tosses passenger for sexist remarks

SAO PAULO (AP) -- A Brazilian airline says one of its female pilots tossed a passenger off a flight because he was making sexist comments about women flying planes.

Trip Airlines says in a Tuesday statement the pilot ejected the man before takeoff as he made loud, sexist comments upon learning the pilot was a woman. The jet continued on to the state of Goias after a one-hour delay.

The interview with the pilot was delayed because she was having trouble parking.

My first instructor pilot was female. She was a MUCH better pilot and teacher than another IP I wound up using.

The jet continued on to the state of Goias after a one-hour delay.

A spokesman for the airline said the cause of the delay was the result of the pilot trying to find a new pair of shoes that did not clash with her outfit.

"We want our pilots to look professional, and the shoes she had on were hideous and not approved. You think it is easy to find three inch mauve heels at the airport! "
