Trayvon Martin's death was “avoidable.”

That’s the conclusion of a new police report on the unarmed teen’s killing at the hands of George Zimmerman in Sanford, Fla.

"The encounter between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin was ultimately avoidable by Zimmerman, if Zimmerman had remained in his vehicle and awaited the arrival of law enforcement, or conversely, if he had identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog in an effort to dispel each party's concern," the document by Sanford, Fla. Police said.

The fact that Trayvon Martin at first ran indicates guilty knowledge.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Bullshit. If my kids (even my teens) were being followed by a strange grown man I would want them to run too. the fact that he ran indicates nothing but avoidance of contact with the stranger who was following him. Avoidance...as in the opposite of confrontation.

You can have all the prejudiced opinions you want but you can't have your own facts. And the facts that we know are that Zimmerman followed and Martin avoided.

The cops too should be on Zimmerman’s long list of those to sue.

Provide evidence Martin attacked Zimmerman? Really? Martin had a fatal bullet wound and skinned knuckles. Zimmerman had head injuries, black eyes and a broken nose. Did Zimmerman attack Martins fists with his face???

The cops told him "we don't need you to do that", they didn't tell him not to.

911 dispatchers aren't cops. They have no authority. GZ had a right to follow, him as part of his neighborhood watch.

Trayvon Martin's death was “avoidable.”

It's easy to imagine that the kid's family would agree...up to a point,at least.

There you go again...please provide proof that Martin attacked Zimmerman. You know that you can't.

Well, let's see what evidence we have so far.

Injuries to Zimmerman's face, scalp and back consistent with being assaulted. Abrasions on Martin's knuckles. Eyewitness report that puts Martin on top of Zimmerman.

Seems to me that, by at least a preponderance of the evidence, that Martin attacked Zimmerman. And by the admission under oath of an investigator, they have no evidence to contradict Zimmerman's version of events. And the only 'evidence' the prosecutor has relied upon is pure hearsay.

So do us all a favor and give your pointless point a rest.

Police shootings are ultimately avoidable by cops.

If they just stay in their cars and keep the cars at the station.

Or do what they have done in East Saint Louis, IL, DetRIOT MI, Gary IN, Boston MA, Albany NY.......Whites just move out of town; as they are doing incrementally in almost every city in this country. Give the cities to the Negro trashers, then every city can be a good Democrat city like East Saint Louis.

The evidence in the case already did, every bit of it.

revisionist police reports so that way the “inadmissible report” can be used to “refresh” the memory and IMPLY whatever the prosecutor needs “to win” at any cost.

IOW:

P: Would anything refresh your memory regarding events that night?

O: my police report. (note does not say WHICH report)

P: Is this your police report?

O: Yes.

P: Please read it to yourself.

P: What was your conclusion regarding the death that night?

O: It was avoidable but for Mr. Zimmerman’s actions.

That type of manuver is totally unethical. Any prosecutor who participates should be investigated. This also smacks of a political agenda not a truth agenda. Have these officers been investigated? Have their previous testimonies been investigated?

In hindsight, it would have been better for Z not to have followed him for location information.

I think it was a good thing that he followed him. Based upon what happened I think Zimmerman did our society a big favor by removing a thug from society. He also most likely saved someone else’s life by removing Trayvon from the gene pool, the kid was going to kill someone in the future based upon his attitude.

Or, had Zimmerman displayed his firearm while observing him, the punk probably would not have attacked.

Everyone can play this game....

TM would be alive if only the police were patrolling the neighborhood instead of eating donuts at the time.

Pure conjecture on the part of the police. Since when are police “jurors”.

Precisely. If this goes to trial and I were Zimmerman's defense counsel, I would object to this "report" being entered as evidence, since it is presumptive and prejudicial. The whole purpose of the trial is to establish whether Zimmerman was wholly or partially at fault in St. Trayvon's death. This report short-cuts due process.

The cops told him "we don't need you to do that", they didn't tell him not to.

Actually, it was a 911 dispatcher, not a cop. < /splittin' hairs >

Anytime a police officers puts out a new police report there is a reason. I remember one who was caught lying on police reports so he “revised” them with updates. It did not work.

The fact that revised the report only adds MORE reasonable doubt.

The media should pour through all the other reports of this police officer.
