You spoke too soon, Rand Paul. It sounds like the President's views on marriage just got even gayer.
Somewhat buried in CNN's story on Barack Obama's fundraiser in New York is this little tidbit about his administration's plans for marriage equality
He also outlined goals he hopes to accomplish under a second term, including the repeal of the Defense Of Marriage Act, which the administration has already stopped defending.
This is the first time Obama has said that he wil actively work to repeal the law.
At the fundraiser, hosted by openly gay pop star Ricky Martin, Obama called same-sex marriage the "right thing to do." He also said that contrary to what many rightwing pundits have alleged, marriage equality will help families.
I smell desparation. Lets see how this plays in November. I think the results may be pleasing. ;-)
I thnk #58 is the exact response Republicans should make while at the same time expressing their support for traditional marriage whenever asked. Then steer back to the economy as the most important issue on the minds of Americans. People are going to go back to what feels normal to them and the gay marriage pushing socialist working to transform America is not it. Americans are realizing more and more what Obama meant by transforming America, and they don’t like it. Even if they don’t know exactly why, they sense the change in America, and it makes them uncomfortable and nervous. Romney just needs to present himself as a return to normal.
This chills me.
It's as if he feels he isn't going to face an election in November. Be it cancellation or electronic fraud, he's genuinely acting like he's already voterproof.
To: kristinnThis is why Christie is floating the trial balloon...the GOP nom (Romney | Perry | Palin | Christie) is the next President; Bobo doesn't want the job without a compliant Congress, he saw the Writing on the Wall in 2010; I've been saying this for 16 months now and FReepers are starting to get their mind around the inevitability.

Fixed.
Nero's fiddling echos more loudly in an empty temple.
“The gay community wants to be accepted as normal so badly . Its never going to happen no matter how hard they try.”
It’s interesting that gay culture for years was proudly counterculture and still is in most ways, but the movement for oxymoronic gay marriage is a desire for something absolutely traditional. It is illogical as is much of the left.
If scripture and tradition are disqualified as a standard, why only TWO people and why only people?
Of the remaining 19 states does anyone know how many legally allow gay marriage?
Shudder..That is a nightmarish thought..I want Zero DEFEATED. A landslide would be great..but I’ll take a simple win.!!
Anything to keep focus off the horrible economy and coming QE3. This is planned.
Why the chair?
It must be an epic landslide, anything less and they will cheat it away.
This is the best explanation why they demand religious sanction of an irreligious act.
LOL ... you know that would make a great tag line!! :-D)
Ping to this Repeal of DOMA by the 0bummer&Co Regime!
Thanks kristinn.
Zero’s just trying to usher in the era of shariah marriage, give him a break! Goat? Underaged girl? Underaged boy? Bring it on!
” Thats a little too close for two dudes to be sitting next to one another, without divided seats.”
They seem happy.. : )
” “if he wins the election? It is my nightmare/fear that the voting machines are being hacked in every precinct - as we speak. “
I have the same fear, and knowing how evil Obama’s peeps are,
it is not merely paranoia.
LOL - great picture.
I wish some brave reporeter would ask Dr. Obama, Professor of Constitutional Law, just how on Earth HE will repeal the act? Last I heard, laws originate within the US Congress, not the White House. So, I’m a little bit puzzled.......
