A course for U.S. military officers has been teaching that America's enemy is Islam in general, not just terrorists, and suggesting that the country might ultimately have to obliterate the Islamic holy cities of Mecca and Medina without regard for civilian deaths, following World War II precedents of the nuclear attack on Hiroshima or the allied firebombing of Dresden.
The Pentagon suspended the course in late April when a student objected to the material. The FBI also changed some agent training last year after discovering that it, too, was critical of Islam.

Not so much a rudderless ship. It would become a religion that cannot be “fulfilled”. The 5th pillar of Islam is attained by the Haj, a pilgrammage to Mecca. With Mecca nuked and made inhabitable Islam would diminish over time like other extinct religions have. The adherents would be unable to attain this final pillar of their faith.

In war, every outlet, every port, every terrorist hiding place even in Mecca, should be all points of interest for our drones, missiles, planes and SEALs. Obama and his ilk do not want an all out plan to take out Iran et al. We need a Prez and DOD who will have such a plan if they continue to threaten the USA, Israel and W.Europe as well as some ME quasi-allies like the Saudis and Jordan, Dubai.
There were Communist sympathizers within the US military and State Department who were certain that Communism itself was not a problem for the United States and that we had no business seeing it end anywhere in the world.
Islamic theocratic government is against the foundation of this nation and we face foreign governments (Saudi Arabia) colonizing the West to establish theocratic rule over here.

The Jews (my people) really suffered when we were scattered after the destruction of the Second Temple. Islam would be the same. Demoralized that their phoney Allah and false prophet could not protect their so called holy sites and holy cities

Christians don’t worship “Bethlehem”.
This was made evident when Muslim Fanatics took over the Church of the Nativity, and the only ones who acted to get them out were the Israelis (God Bless Them!).
The Muslims, however, DO worship the Kaaba and Mecca. Infidels are not allowed access, they demand pilgrimage as part of their religion, they circumambulate and prostrate themselves before it.
I have been to Bethlehem, and enjoyed my visit, but if it were nuked, my Christianity would still be intact.

This IS a declaration of WAR, that every stinking butthole sniffing headbanging slime on earth is COMMANDED to follow.
The only way for US/mankind to win this WAR is to destroy their unholy temples. Just like Japan.
That is an important distinction to make.
Islamofascists have declared war against not just us but all of Western culture. We haven't declared war on them.
We can continue our current approach of trying to divide Islamic radicals or take a scorched-earth Crusader-style model. I wouldn't have a problem in theory with declaring a Crusade, but America isn't yet convinced of the need to do so, and at least for now, we still have some relatively moderate Muslim states we can work with. We also have to deal with the fact that America is no longer a predominantly Christian country and liberals and atheists need to become convinced that Islam is an existential threat against women and liberal views of religious freedom.
These things take time.

A “student objected “, huh? That pretty much makes the story not quite believeable on it’s face. And where is this critical POS now? Be fun to know what his job was before he took the class. I used to teach highly specialized classes like this is / was and one does not get ordered to take them-——you pretty much want to be there and bitching about the course content is not the logical next step. Sounds like it was a course for Officers, they being the ones responsible for use of weapons. Officers know how to express diverse opinions without making the news. If there is even an element of truth to the story I expect we’re short one security clearance by now?
