A state championship high school baseball game is over before tonight's first pitch, after one Arizona team forfeited rather than play an opponent with a girl in the lineup.
Our Lady of Sorrows refused to play Mesa Preparatory Academy in Thursdays scheduled Arizona Charter Athletic Association state championship game, because that team has Paige Sultzbach at second base. The 15-year-old agreed to sit out a pair of regular season victories over Our Lady of Sorrows, which is run by the Society of St. Pius X, an traditionalist church that broke away from Roman Catholic Church over Vatican reforms in 1970. But with everything on the line tonight, Sultzbach wasn't willing to stay glued to the bench even if it means no game at all.

In a statement to FoxNews.com, an Our Lady of Sorrows official said the school had no choice but to forfeit because it has a strict policy prohibiting participation in co-ed athletics and believes in "forming and educating boys and girls" separately.
Teaching our boys to treat ladies with deference, we choose not to place them in an athletic competition where proper boundaries can only be respected with difficulty, the statement read. "Our school aims to instill in our boys a profound respect for women and girls."

I think it is more disturbing encouraging women to compete with men physically or in any other fashion. Emasculating men and masculinizing women is even more disturbing.
But the Leftists has been pushing this more and more for the past 100 years. Women are out of control and it is the men’s duty to create those special, teachable moments to bring them back into line. I like this quote from Jack Nicholson’s character in this movie.
(A receptionist at Melvins publishing firm a fan of Melvins work, but he is not as charming as she thinks hell be.)
Woman:How do you write women so well?
Melvin: I think of a man and I take away reason and accountability.
-As Good As It Gets (1997)
Lack of reason and accountability in women are the classic, core pillars of Leftism.
Did they? Does "sticking to their guns" apply to Islamic law too in the way they view their women?
Guess there's no need to bring up Sharia law and how they view their women.......
I thought this was the country of equality for all, guess that only applies to boys and their sports.
And they are taking it like men. I haven't heard anything about lawsuits or government intervention.
I'm having difficulty understanding the problem.
The forfeiting team isn't complaining about anything. The team that is complaining, from what I gather from the article, is the girl's team.
They are upset the other team did not play the game.
Given the fact that they won, their complaint is stupid.
Is your real name David Savage, you are despicible, and I guess your son is only capable of playing with girls; what a team you all are.
They are not even the one’s complaining.
So what's the point here...to just muck up and erase the norm's?
“Our school aims to instill in our boys a profound respect for women and girls.”
Then respect her efforts and ability to work hard enough to be in a position to play in a championship game which you are now depriving her off because of YOUR weakness.
They’re not depriving anyone of anything. The girl team won.
“Its by their own choice that they migrate over to the Girls Softball League.”
Question is. . .would this “girls” softball league allow a boy to migrate over to their teams?
I’d say probably not. And if not, why not? Would you ask the question and let us know what answer “they” give you? Seriously, would like to know.
In our county soccer league. . .there were co-ed teams and a girl-only league. Never a boy-only league.
Perhaps they have no other option (see my Post 94).
Is this meant as some sort of play on words? The word "principals" refers to administrators of individual schools, while the word "principles" refers to basic belief systems held by a person. If you meant this as a play on words, I don't get it...
Of course not. We can't let men be men, they have to be the same as women.
I never disliked school per se. It was the Principal of the thing.
It’s a voluntary sports league formed between charter schools. If there isn’t one out there that’s not co-ed they can always form one, that’s part of the whole concept of charter schools.
I’m not aware of any way to force people from having idiotic principles. Even the mob can’t stop that. You have to persuade by pointing out idiocy.
