Franklin Graham said President Obama has shaken his fist at God by announcing his support for same-sex marriage.
On Wednesday, Obama voiced his support for same-sex marriage, saying he was taking a personal position on the issue.
"I have hesitated on gay marriage in part because I thought that civil unions would be sufficient," Obama said in the interview with ABC. He added, "I was sensitive to the fact that for a lot of people the word 'marriage' was something that evokes very powerful traditions, religious beliefs and so forth."
Now, he said, "it is important for me personally to go ahead and affirm that same-sex couples should be able to get married."
Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, issued a statement Thursday about the presidents decision.

“I was sensitive to the fact that for a lot of people the word ‘marriage’ was something that evokes very powerful traditions, religious beliefs and so forth.”
Of course I simply don’t care what they think and have no respect for their history, traditions and beliefs.
I agree with Franklin’s comments.
“Franklin Graham: Obama shook fist at God by supporting same-sex marriage (It wasn’t his fist)”
Obama shook his fist at the American electorate who overwhelmingly reject the notion of homosexual marriage.
It's not even legal for heterosexual couples to come out and demonstrate affection when one or more is serving in the military. It's called Public Display of Affection and is a court martial offense.
It wasn’t his fist he shook at God...face it...he flipped the bird at Him.
His insolence will land him....along with everything else he’s done...in the deepest, darkest, and hottest pit of Hell.
I’ll pray for his repentance and salvation.
I’ll continue to pray that God lights his ass up with a 500,000 volt lightning bolt. Him AND his wookie beard.
I think the gesture was flipping God off, not shaking his fist.
On Tuesday my state of North Carolina became the 31st state to approve a constitutional amendment defining marriage as being between a man and a woman. While the move to pass amendments defining marriage is relatively new, the definition of marriage is 8,000 years old and was defined not by man, but by God Himself. In changing his position from that of Senator/candidate Obama, President Obama has, in my view, shaken his fist at the same God who created and defined marriage. It grieves me that our president would now affirm same-sex marriage, though I believe it grieves God even more.
The institution of marriage should not be defined by presidents or polls, governors or the media. The definition was set long ago and changing legislation or policy will never change God's definition. This is a sad day for America. May God help us.
I hope Franklin does not apologize again.

“his wookiee beard”
Heh, heh, that’s cold steel, man.
;^)
Its really going to suck to be Barry before long, when God is done with him.
I read his statement to equate Christ on the Cross with sodomy. Read it. You may see it that way too.
Obama does not believe his maker is the Christian GOD, instead he believes his maker is Allah. The populace of the USA have lost or never knew that that the USA was founded on a belief and faith in a Christian God not an Allah, not a Buddha, or any other entity. Obama has in the past referenced Lincoln but he deceptively ignores that Lincoln in the very famous Gettysburg address referred to a Nation under GOD not under Allah, Buddha, or whatever. Obama is a farce on/in the history of the USA with help from enablers such as Axelrod, Ayers, Soros, and other internationalists who are out to destroy the exceptional government established by our Founders.
What do you mean AGAIN? What has he apologized for in the past? He never stuck me as someone who will pander to muslims, liberals or evil manipulators.
My bible would suggest 6000 years.
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
Nothing to it. 0h0m0 is used to fisting.
What do you expect from some guy that defines “sin” as “being out of alignment with my values”,
as if HE defines right and wrong... hmmm where did we see that? Oh yeah, Gen 3:4-5.
I am not so religious but definitely agree with Rev Franklin Graham on this. “Gay marriage” or whatever you want to call this farce is against 5,772 years of Jewish-Christian religion and tradition. It is against 2012 years of Christian religion. It is against thousands of years of our cultural norms. Gays are defying God same as in Sodom and Gomorrah and dragging decent people into the same mess
