Yesterday I told you about the Obama campaigns (new fictional character Julia) She is a government moocher used to push that wholesome totalitarian ideal that Big Brother should be there to watch over us from cradle to grave using the power of the Nanny State. You may be wondering though, why is the character named Julia? There is an obvious but brilliantly subtle answer picked up by (It's Only Words)
Julia is of course one of the main characters in George Orwells dystopian vision of the future Nineteen Eighty-Four. She is an overzealous proponent of her government who rebels against its control through sexual liberation. Like any good slave she buckles under torture, repents and rekindles her love of big government.
Julia is an absolutely fitting name for a character pitching Obamanonics. The Life of Julia showcases Big Brother caring for Obamas character throughout her whole life, warning that personal and financial freedom from the government will make her suffer.
The message is clear, you need government control in your life and Obama will provide it. Romney and Republicans wont. The only thing missing in the story are some military drones to keep her from thinking twice about voting the wrong way.

Are you able to sue Obama for using your name to portray a lifetime government moocher?
Something tells me that it is not Ward Cleaver that he is referencing, but I'm sometimes wrong on these things.
Maybe he's got a secret man-crush on Ward (or the Beaver) and a longing for the simpler days of the 1950's...
They should have called her Peggy. “Peggy the Moocher”.
Some clever folks have nicknamed her a “June of the State”.
It was only the election of Ronald Reagan which postponed 1984.
We’ve been derisively saying to the left that “1984” was supposed to be a warning, not suggestion,
and here they are, fully embracing that they ARE the totalitarians from the novel.
I am not.
People, well, some people, are acting like they’re wearing dog collars with an electrical jolt if they do something 0bama doesn’t like. 0bama acts like they are, too.
It’s sadistic and masochistic.
Then there’s the swooning press, in thrall to a madman....all of it. Sick.
I can’t say why, but that is funnier than hell.
I was really too young to read that book when i did (7th grade), but WOW it sure did make an impression on me!
Well, don’t forget that the military is for “his behalf.” He said it himself.
A commercial that posits a 64 year term for Obama
We’re more in the Brave New World woods at the moment
Has anyone brought up that there was an NBC show in the late-60’s/early-70’s about an African-American woman entitled “Julia?”
No sinister observation there. Just a small fact that may have reinforced the campaign’s decision to use the name.
Did it turn you into a conservative at that tender age?
No, it took Ronald Reagan to rescue me from the 1960’s!
It SHOULD have, though. :-)
I believe you're correct on this. We are very far down this road towards communism right now.
Encyclical On Atheistic Communism by Pope Pius XI, 1937
"The doctrine of modern Communism, which is often concealed under the most seductive trappings, is in substance based on the principles of dialectical and historical materialism previously advocated by Marx, of which the theoricians of bolshevism claim to possess the only genuine interpretation. According to this doctrine there is in the world only one reality, matter, the blind forces of which evolve into plant, animal and man. Even human society is nothing but a phenomenon and form of matter, evolving in the same way. By a law of inexorable necessity and through a perpetual conflict of forces, matter moves towards the final synthesis of a classless society. In such a doctrine, as is evident, there is no room for the idea of God; there is no difference between matter and spirit, between soul and body; there is neither survival of the soul after death nor any hope in a future life. Insisting on the dialectical aspect of their materialism, the Communists claim that the conflict which carries the world towards its final synthesis can be accelerated by man. Hence they endeavor to sharpen the antagonisms which arise between the various classes of society. Thus the class struggle with its consequent violent hate and destruction takes on the aspects of a crusade for the progress of humanity. On the other hand, all other forces whatever, as long as they resist such systematic violence, must be annihilated as hostile to the human race. Communism, moreover, strips man of his liberty, robs human personality of all its dignity, and removes all the moral restraints that check the eruptions of blind impulse. There is no recognition of any right of the individual in his relations to the collectivity; no natural right is accorded to human personality, which is a mere cog-wheel in the Communist system. In man's relations with other individuals, besides, Communists hold the principle of absolute equality, rejecting all hierarchy and divinely-constituted authority, including the authority of parents. What men call authority and subordination is derived from the community as its first and only font. Nor is the individual granted any property rights over material goods or the means of production, for inasmuch as these are the source of further wealth, their possession would give one man power over another. Precisely on this score, all forms of private property must be eradicated, for they are at the origin of all economic enslavement."
I was reminded of the 1977 movie Julia, featuring communist Lillian Hellman (played by communist Jane Fonda) trying to help her communist friend Julia (played by communist Vanessa Redgrave).
