...After Supporter Says President Should be tried for treason
The Obama campaign slammed Mitt Romney Monday for not confronting a supporter who said during a town hall event in Cleveland that the president should be tried for treason.
We have a president right now that is operating outside the structure of our Constitution, a woman said during a question-and-answer session. And I want to know yeah, I do agree he should be tried for treason but I want to know what you would be able to do to restore balance between the three branches of government and what you are going to be able to do to restore our Constitution in this country.
Romney, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, ignored the treason comment and answered her question.
Well, as Im sure you do, I happen to believe the Constitution was not just brilliant but probably inspired, he said. I happen to believe the same thing about the Declaration of Independence. I would respect the different branches of government if I am fortunate enough to become president.

Time after time in this campaign, Mitt Romney has had the opportunity to show that he has the fortitude to stand up to hateful and over-the-line rhetoric and time after time, he has failed to do so, campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith said in a statement. If this is the leadership he has shown on the campaign trail, what can the American people expect of him as commander-in-chief?
Romney repeated his position shortly after the event during an interview on CNN but rejected the notion that he had a responsibility to take on the audience member.
I dont correct all of the questions that get asked of me. Romney said.

And dittos to the rest of your post!
Hey Obama....FU.
It’s too bad too. That’s a line I could easily see coming out of his mouth, and sounding pretty good too. In fact, it seems like I DID hear him say something like it last time they tried to slap guilt-by-association on him, like a couple of weeks ago.
What I see is the quiet strategy is getting to him. He’s out there trying to make political points but just making himself look stoopid, and Romeny is sitting back and letting him keep digging.
That man in the white hut has demonstrated repeatedly a willingness to keep digging no matter how deep the hole gets.
That strategy worked wonders for Bush.
Pray for America
What about HBO Bill M etc, when will Barry address that? When will Bristol Palin receive a call of support from Obama?
What? A lady during Q&A voices her opinion. Something wrong with that?
No in the fact that the writers, for the most part, were not Godly men and they in fact wanted to set up a government much like we see forming now but inadvertently set up a government that was viewed by many as being a foundation for a nation to experience true spiritual growth, not the heresy out there now.
Treason does, treason is. Being pResident doesn’t make one immune, it makes it all the more serious.
Real USAians want to know, or perhaps they’re starting to know and want it fixed.
He may have caught flak from the AP, but in this one they can pound sand. Obama is a public figure, whatever any of us may think of him, and photos like that are public domain for artists to make use of. If that one dude can put a pic of christ in a jar of piss, than color manipulating a photo of the one should be ok...
Obama has stated in the past that he does not think that government should be limited by our Bill of Rights, and has discussed at length that these “negative rights” stand in the way of his ability to accomplish his agenda.
The lady made an assertion that Obama “is operating outside the structure of our Constitution. Romney did comment on her assertion by stating that “I happen to believe the Constitution was not just brilliant but probably inspired.
I think that the reason that he did not address her “treason” remark was that he probably thought that it had merit, but he was too polite to say so. After all, it is fundamental to the job of a US President that he defend the Constitution. It would be a betrayal of trust for a President to take substantial action to the contrary.
Quite a can of worms for a major candidate to open up at a town Hall meeting.
