Lilia Luciano, an NBC News correspondent based in Miami (more like WTVJ studios in Miramar) has been fired by the network for using an edited version of George Zimmermans 911 call on the Today show on March 20. In her story the edit omitted the underlined phrase below:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like hes up to no good or on drugs or something. Hes got his hand in his waistband. And hes a black male. Dispatcher: Are you following him?

But in the liberal worldview, a white (hispanic) simply thinking a young black male might be armed is racist.
It does not matter that this young black male is skulking about an area with multiple burglaries while its raining.
In the end, Zimmerman goes free and will successfully sue some elements of the media for millions.
A few days ago, the NBC station in Miami reportedly fired a REPORTER for omitting the dispatcher’s question to Zim about the race of the suspicious person.
This is a different instance, another blatant example of the bias rampant in national and local media. Imagine the information these fake journalists and their colleagues have withheld over the years. They got CAUGHT this time.

She is Puerto Rican. Interesting that she would do that.
Wait a minute. Is this a different conversation? What happened to the “he looks black” response?
Very confusing, seems like this is the third or more person supposedly fired. Misdirection? maybe no one got fired
Fall guy (girl, and a pretty nice looking one at that!!)?
Smell the litigation fear of the racist Big Media propagandists.
Didn't he got to the store to buy the snacks for his younger brother?
If he was buying the snacks for his brother, why is it that nobody noticed Trayvon didn't return until the next day?
More than one person used an already edited audio clip.
Question 1: Who originally edited the clip that others later used?
Question 2: Who ordered that done and who approved it?
I think it was done by people over at MSNBC. Who?
In all seriousness, I think this story botched the nature of the botched edit. What was edited out came before the stuff underlined here.
He won't "go free" as long as Holder is at the Justice Department. If found "not guilty" in the state court, he will be charged with a federal crime.
That is not considered double jeopardy and there are plenty of precedents.
I'm wondering about that too. Are we talking about two different conversations and two different edits?
First time I've seen this conversation:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like hes up to no good or on drugs or something. Hes got his hand in his waistband. And hes a black male. Dispatcher: Are you following him?
And its "edited" version. Unless that's an edit of an earlier edited version. Maybe at the trial the judge and jury will hear the entire conversation and not N.B.C.s version.
Yes, good catch. Thanks.
This is, believe it or not, a different malicious edit of the same passage.
The one you are thinking about is the first one, where they left out the question from the dispatcher.
This second malicious edit is even more damnable and impossible to deny — she took this “waistband” clip from much later in the clip and inserted it into the early part of the conversation.
We’ll see. My predictions. Nothing will happen with this case before the election. Within 24- 30 months Zimmerman will be cleared. He will sue NBC, CNN and other for millions. Eric Holder will be gone by November. Obama will lose. The Feds won’t get involved. There will be riots but they won’t be in white areas so few non-blacks will be affected or ultimately care.
