Tunes For The Troops
**Artist Showcase**
Triumph is a Canadian hard rock power trio that was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Eight of the band's albums were certified gold or higher, and Triumph was nominated for multiple Juno Awards, including Group of the Year Award in 1979, 1985, 1986 and 1987.
Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga, Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early to mid 1980s. The band was formed by Toronto music veterans Gil Moore (drums, vocals), Mike Levine (bass, keyboards, producer), and Rik Emmett (singer, guitarist, songwriter) in 1975.
Enjoy the variety of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays provide throughout the thread. Please ping any DJ with your requests for the Troops!
All music is removed on Monday. Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!

In 1985,
Eddie Rabbitt issued his Rabbitt Trax album which produced a hit on the country charts co-written with Evan Stevens. This is one of the great songs of the country storytelling tradition.

In 1985 Eddie lost his son to liver disease. I didnt want to be out of the music business, but where I was, was more important, he said of his three year hiatus.
Eddie Rabbitt decided to return to his musical roots. He had long been an admirer of Bob Dylan, Donnie Fagan, Elton John, Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson. He especially loved the work Sam Phillips had done at Sun Records in the Fifties, and his next disk, I Wanna Dance with You, showed that influence. Two hits came from that album. The first was a version of Dions old 1963 hit.
The Wanderer
The second was the title song. By this time, Stevens and Malloy were no longer in the picture, and Eddies song writing partner was Motown saxophonist Junior Walker.
