Tunes For The Troops
**Artist Showcase**
Triumph is a Canadian hard rock power trio that was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Eight of the band's albums were certified gold or higher, and Triumph was nominated for multiple Juno Awards, including Group of the Year Award in 1979, 1985, 1986 and 1987.
Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga, Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early to mid 1980s. The band was formed by Toronto music veterans Gil Moore (drums, vocals), Mike Levine (bass, keyboards, producer), and Rik Emmett (singer, guitarist, songwriter) in 1975.
Enjoy the variety of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays provide throughout the thread. Please ping any DJ with your requests for the Troops!
All music is removed on Monday. Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!
*Canteen Mission Statement*

One of my best memories of childhood is of my mom singing “I Love A Rainy Night” while we were driving to school. :)

In 1982, the Radio Romance album produced a hit single for
Eddie Rabbitt and collaborator Crystal Gayle, but it was not written by Eddie or his team. This got him placement on the soap opera All My Children. I like the way Eddie restarts the song when he doesnt get quite what he wants from his backup band.

100% computer crash this week getting used to an all new operating system. Oh no I'm so sorry. That is so frustrating.
I have a new computer that I have still not set up for just that reason! :)

Exactly. Country has never been my favorite genre (no offense to you country fans! :) ), but there are a few exceptions and these were 2 of them.

In 1984,
Eddie Rabbitt released his The Best Years of My Life album with a title track co-written by Evan Stevens. This did well on the country charts but failed to cross over. Eddie was moving back to straight country.
