None of the quotes I’ve read so far indicate a man capable of desiring a woman. They are all pretentious, self-aware, and completely devoid of any sexual undertones. In fact, they are how I would expect a gay guy to write to his female cover...

This new bio seems to be just the ticket to re-invent Obama: girlfriends, Eliot to hint at Christianity and conservative, angst of struggle as he chose his “path”.
In my opinion, the girls, everything, look as if they started from his current place in life and went backwards to construct the scenarios. Quotes from lovers, friends, everything sounds like invention to make readers believe a fantasy and not a very interesting one. Who even has passion to talk about a “composite” lover? That one fact stinks to high heaven. I would more likely believe the comments were written by a gay man.
