How does one justify a vote for Romney?

With the foisted increased possibility of Mittens buying becoming the Nominee, can you actually justify voting for him in the general election?

This is what I am truly curious to find out.

Virgil Goode info" http://www.goodeforpresident2012.com/

Gary Johnson info: http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/about

Personally, at this moment, I simply cannot vote for Romney under any circumstance. I am also convinced that if Romney runs against Obama, Romney will lose massively.

I'd really be interested in your feedback, especially in terms of how you potentially plan to justify voting for Romney if he indeed becomes the Nominee.

Thank you,

NRT

It can not be justified. To vote the enemy into your camp is suicide for Conservatism. Wanna kill Conservatism for good? Vote Romney.

I am also convinced that if Romney runs against Obama, Romney will lose massively.

The Constitution Party pulled in .15% of the vote and the Libertarian Party that pulled in .4% of the vote in '08. Those two parties couldn't even organize enough to get ballot access in all 50 states. They are not viable. The only vote left that has even the tiniest chance of undoing Milt is Paul. He is in a major national party and has been getting his people installed as delegates.

That is about where we are at in this.

* Do you plan to vote for Mittens in the General election?

Nope.

* How do you plan to justify a vote for Mittens?

NA, see above.

* Is it ABO "anyone but Obama"?
* Or is it ABR "anyone but Romney"?

BOTH.

* Or is it pure loyalty to the GOP?

I've never been a member of the GOP. NA.

* .....or do you think Romney is the best that the GOP can offer?

If he was the best choice, I'd vote for him.

* Or..........do you plan to write-in a vote?

Decent possibility.

* Or is there a possibility to give any thought to either Virgil Goode or to Gary Johnson?

Sure, I'll give it thought.

If Hitler invaded hell I would make at least a favorable reference to the devil in the House of Commons.- Winston Churchill

Churchill didn't give up his values when allying with the devil (Stalin) against Hitler nor did he settle. He just played the best strategic move he had at the time. Hitler was a direct short-term invasionary threat. Stalin could be mitigated in the longer term. Sometimes the direct threat is so great, the alternatives make for strange beadfellows.

It is chess, not checkers.

How can I justify voting for Romney??

That is an easy one. Romney is not a Marxist totalitarian, law breaking thug. Nor is he a liar and he is a patriot.

If you vote for Romney, you’ll still get Obama.

With so many turncoats willing to stay home or vote for dumb and dumber (Johnson and Goode) that's a distinct possibility.

Where there is little difference between Romney and Obama, voting for either will get you the same thing - four more years of socialism. Worse yet, with Romney, you could end up with four additional years of socialism. At least with Obama, he will be finished in four years.

I will vote Goode for the top of the ballot and vote GOP down ballot.

Before I respond, is there really any way to change your mind? Or is this thread another battle ground for egocentric conservatives to flame each other and create division?

I'll give you my honest and polite response after you answer the first question. If your first answer is no, then I ask what is the purpose of your post? Are you doing research? Are you trying to convince others not to vote for Romney.

The biggest victory for the GOP and Romney being the candidate is the splitting of groups like FR and the Tea Party. I don't understand why the GOP is so blind, but the old guard is.

“The whole point of politics is to win and they expect us to vote for a loser.”

Actually, the GOP DEMANDS that we vote for this loser. It did everything it could to make life miserable for the conservative base. It isn’t going to happen this time. Real conservatives are simply fed up.

I will be voting for Newt in the NC primary on May 8, but in November, when the choice comes down to Mitt or Zero, there is no way I'm going to do anything that helps Zero have a second term. Even if that means voting for Mitt.

I can't stand Mitt, but do you folks really think that he is a true believer like Zero? Do you think Mitt wants to take America down a notch like Zero does? Do you think that Mitt hates what this country stands for?

My duty as I see it is to ensure that the least harm comes from this election and taking my ball and going home just because I don't get my way is not the answer. Fight for a conservative in the primary and in all local elections. But, in the general election, staying home and not voting is the mathematical equivalent to voting for Zero and I won't do that.

Easy. Obama or Romney

I'll hold my nose and vote for Romney. Not only is he a big improvement over Obama but his wife, Ann, is a humongous improvement over Obama's wife and you can be sure she wouldn't be using the U.S. Treasury as her personal piggy bank as the Mooch does.
