How does one justify a vote for Romney?

With the foisted increased possibility of Mittens buying becoming the Nominee, can you actually justify voting for him in the general election?

This is what I am truly curious to find out.

• Do you plan to vote for Mittens in the General election?

• Is it ABO "anyone but Obama"?
  
• Or is it ABR "anyone but Romney"?
  
• Or is it pure loyalty to the GOP?

Personally, at this moment, I simply cannot vote for Romney under any circumstance. I am also convinced that if Romney runs against Obama, Romney will lose massively.

I'd really be interested in your feedback, especially in terms of how you potentially plan to justify voting for Romney if he indeed becomes the Nominee.

I am a practicing Catholic. I don't agree with the Catholic Church's rigid stance on contraception but I will vehemently defend the church's right to maintain their outdated doctrine. I don't agree with several things that are part of the Catholic Faith.

I am suggesting your are presumptuous to think you know what anyone believes regardless of what their associations are. I don't know what he believes but do not think it will make him any worse of a representative for us than his less than conservative credentials already suggest.

More importantly, I'd like to see his faith not become part of our childish circular firing squad here on FreeRepublic.

I agree with every word you said except for one. I would change I believe Obama hated America, to I believe he HATES America...

Obama heard it growing up from his commie mommy, his commie grandparents, and his Indonesian commie/Islamist step-father and he was in Indonesia at a time when they where very politically anti-American, so he probably heard it everyday from teachers, imams, students and Madrass teachers as well as his friends. They all HATE America.

His whole upbringing is laced with haters. Then he spent 20 years in the hater Jeremiah Wright's church.

I just don't think Romney hates America, the Founding Fathers, our Constitution, our way of life, and frankly, white people, like Obama and his wife do.

People here who say Romney and Obama are the same miss this crucial (to our very survival) point. Remember what he promised Medvedev!

President Joseph Fielding Smith said: "Doctrines were corrupted, authority lost, and a false order of religion took the place of the gospel of Jesus Christ, just as it had been the case in former dispensations, and the people were left in spiritual darkness." "For hundreds of years the world was wrapped in a veil of spiritual darkness, until there was not one fundamental truth belonging to the place of salvation ...Joseph Smith declared that in the year 1820 the Lord revealed to him that all the 'Christian' churches were in error, teaching for commandments the doctrines of men" (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 3, p.282).

 

 

 

More recent statements by apostle Bruce McConkie are also very clear: "Apostasy was universal...And this darkness still prevails except among those who have come to a knowledge of the restored gospel" (Doctrines of Salvation, vol 3, p.265); "Thus the signs of the times include the prevailing apostate darkness in the sects of Christendom and in the religious world in general" (The Millennial Messiah, p.403); "a perverted Christianity holds sway among the so-called Christians of apostate Christendom" (Mormon Doctrine, p.132); "virtually all the millions of apostate Christendom have abased themselves before the mythical throne of a mythical Christ whom they vainly suppose to be a spirit essence who is incorporeal uncreated, immaterial and three-in-one with the Father and Holy Spirit" (Mormon Doctrine, p.269); "Gnosticism is one of the great pagan philosophies which antedated Christ and the Christian Era and which was later commingled with pure Christianity to form the apostate religion that has prevailed in the world since the early days of that era." President George Q. Cannon said: "After the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized, there were only two churches upon the earth. They were known respectively as the Church of the Lamb of God and Babylon. The various organizations which are called churches throughout Christendom, though differing in their creeds and organizations, have one common origin. August 27, 1954 in an address at Brigham Young University (BYU), Mormon Elder, Mark E Peterson, in speaking to a convention of teachers of religion at the college level, said:

When Mormon 'Apostle' Mark E Petersen spoke on 'Race Problems- As they affect the Church' at the BYU campus in 1954, the following was also said:

"...if the negro accepts the gospel with real, sincere faith, and is really converted, to give him the blessings of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost, he can and will enter the celestial kingdom. He will go there as a servant, but he will get celestial glory."
