Five "self-proclaimed anarchists" have been arrested after a months-long sting operation, charged with plotting to blow up a bridge in the Cleveland area, the FBI announced today.
CBS News senior correspondent John Miller reports the group had been involved in a series of escalating plots that ended with their arrest last night by FBI agents.
The sting operation supplied the anarchists with what they thought were "explosives" and bomb-making materials.
At no time during the case was the public in danger, the FBI said.

I find it statistically odd that he ONLY terrorist plots we hear about are sting operations of some sort.
According to the FBI they were not tied to any international terrorist groups. Were their names released?

Pretty much what I was thinking. Theres no diff between any of these so called federal LE agencies. When they need money or a boost in ratings something like this comes along. Frankly, we’d be safer w/o them.
I suspect soon we will see a BombWalker program over at the ATF, and a few successful detonations will occur.

I’m a little rattled. The bridge they were to blow up is about 1 mile from my home. The city this bridge is in is Brecksville. Parts of Brecksville are very affluent (million dollar homes). Everyone else is middle class to upper middle. I just saw a photo of these five conspirators. They are all young and extremely unkept (your typical OWS crowd).
