White House Denies That Obama Feasted on Human Flesh

Obama joked about the difference between dog meat and human flesh at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. We know the President ate dog, but has he ever eaten a hockey mom? Well, when I was young(at the risk of being banned)I ate a few women that later became hockey moms and today are grandmas. Most of them still smile when they greet me.

And I did not understand why that joke was tied in with Sarah Palin. What is the joke about a hockey mom and a dog, and eating a dog.

I talked to a few people and nobody I talked to got the joke. All I can guess is that it’s an unprintable suggestion that he would rather eat a dog than Sarah Palin? (unprintable, use your imagination)

But if that’s what the joke was, exactly why is that somehow funny??????

The Donner folks laid pretty low afterwards...although I understand from a PBS program on the incident from a few years back that one of them later went to San Francisco and became a successful restauranteur - for real.......

You have it right, but he was actually the only one they could actually prove had eaten other members of the party. At least they were already dead when he ate them. I think other people who had come across the country to live in CA gave the Donner party a large leeway, knowing exactly what torments they had endured just to get to CA.

Well, you’re preaching to the wrong guy. I happen to think its not a good idea to eat the meat of anything that eats meat(unless they aren’t warm blooded animals). I also think we shouldn’t eat anything smarter than a deer or goat and preferably animals less intelligent than that. Pigs, dogs, bear, cats, primates, and elephants are all off limits as far as I’m concerned.

I think I may have seen that same program- probably wasn’t an advertising plus at the time but may have inspired some culinary artisanry...

Palin’s quote was in the context of her being a hockey mom, taking the kid’s to practice in the wee hours of the morning, driving to far-away games, and being a devoted fan, etc. It went something like “What is the difference between a hockey mom and a Pit Bull? ...Lipstick!” Good quote coming from her.

Obama’s version was stupid. As was his (or was it Biden’s?) comment during the election that went something like “Just because you put lipstick on a pig - it’s still a pig”.

Yep - Palin is still living in his head. Rent free.

Because palin told the joke “the diff between a hockey mom and a pit bull?....lipstick”. Palin was basically telling people she’s as tough as a pit bull. He was using palin’s joke and changing it to fit himself. It wasn’t very good. Pretty lame actually. Embarrassing in fact.

The audience that Obama’s performance was intended for enjoyed the show.

Those here saying that Obama fell flat or didn't get some laughs are in denial. The Hockey Mom joke had the room laughing.

When we let our dislike of Obama get in the way of our objectivity, we are acting the same as his Sycophants.

The truth is we have nearly 50% of the Electorate that would Vote for Obama even if there was Video showing him drowning Kittens and Barbecuing a Pug. We are screwed, whether Romney is the Republican Candidate or not.

I hope you are correct. Then again, that Hope thingy hasn't worked out too well for us for the last few years.

I was “hoping” I would be Voting for someone who could articulate my Beliefs in this Election Cycle, but I will be left with having to Vote against Obama.

The idea of watching Obama gloating over his Reelection is too much for me to bear. For me it is anybody but Obama, and Freepers are about 50 / 50 in their support of that idea. Yep, we are screwed, no doubt about it.
