Bob Beckel’s Silver Tongue Strikes Again On The Five: Joy Behar Is ‘Ugly As Sin’

Can we just say right here and now that there is no one on cable TV quite like Bob Beckel? has absolutely no filter to speak of. He’s willing to drop an f-bomb or two every now and then, and no one speaks off-the-cuff quite like him. In the middle of a segment where the hosts were criticizing Joy Behar for trying to link John Edwards and Mitt Romney, Beckel admitted he has never heard of Behar before, but remarked that she looks “ugly as sin.”

Bob Beckel is as nasty as Joy Behar FUNNY, and you may argue as much as you like. But he is a tad 'schizo.'

Bob is simply reinforcing one of Life's Undeniable Truths: There are very few (if any) physically attractive Lib women anywhere in the World and the reason for that caricature, I'll leave to others to try and explain.

Down South we would say that Bob Beckel is “the north end of a southbound skunk”.

He is obnoxious beyond belief and a foulmouthed boor toward the females on the set. Juan Williams is a gentleman in comparison, just as liberal but proof that one can disagree without being disagreeable.

As for Behar, she is a poor homely hate machine. Wakes up hating. Fueled by hatred. What a sordid way to live.

What Joy Behar looks like is hardly an issue. She is not trying to pass herself off as some beauty queen. She, or her promoters, are trying to pass her off as some sort of intellectual. I've spoken to her a couple of times back when she had a talk show on WABC in NYC. This was maybe 18 years ago. (And so it's a bit surprising to me that Beckel says he's never heard of her.) She was a real ditz then so it's a bit surprising also that she has gone as far as she has, so maybe I'm wrong about her stupidity. I just remember her harping on the "lie" that Clarence Thomas said he had never discussed abortion with anyone. So I called up and read from the hearing transcript to her where, and I'm paraphrasing now, Thomas said that sure he had discussed abortion at cocktail parties and situations like that but that he had never discussed it as part of any judicial matter. She said in her high pitched whine that that was not her understanding, and was right back at it the next day pretending that Thomas had claimed that he had never discussed abortion with anyone. Maybe Behar is just an actor? I always thought that with Lynn Samuels (also no beauty queen, but at that time she had a program just before or just after Behar's on WABC) who said too many intelligent things from time to time to really have believed all her liberal BS.

Of course he knows who she is.

It’s more of a put down to claim that such a well known “liberal luminary” as Joy thinks she is, who had her own show and is seen daily on “The View”, is not recognized by him, a true liberal pundit, than to claim that she’s ugly.

They are all egomaniacs.

One day someone called Tony Snow and started badmouthing Beckel. It was one of the few times I hear Tony sound angry. He said Beckel was his friend, he was a good person and the caller had no clue what he was talking about. (paraphrased, of course).

I found myself liking Beckel in spite of his politics. I think he is the type of person that would drive you crazy, but would give you the shirt off his back.

Since I became addicted to The Five ( which has the WORST! time slot in the world) I adore Bob Beckel, I think he is unbelievably funny. Someone said in an earlier post that his colleagues really like him. That says a lot to me.
