If you haven't seen the hilariously effective ad by Karl Rove's American Crossroads group that portrays Barack Obama as a celebrity president with a failed economic record, check it out in the video clip.
Mika Brzezinksi was clearly peeved at how well the ad was playing even with her liberal-dominated panel. After Obama fan Donny Deutsch, and no-conservative-he John Heilemann praised the ad, a Mika at wit's end sought to recruit HuffPo's Sam Stein to help her out. "Can you debunk some of the things in the ad?", she entreated. Stumbled Stein: "ah-h-h-h-h, sure, I guess." After offering a paltry defense that Joe Scarborough demolished, Stein was reduced to saying that Mika had invited him to try to debunk the ad, and that "I'm trying my best!"

Did you read about the 49 Dems with the two independents giving them 51 against Republicans 49 plus Cheney in 2007??You are off by 2 again/
How about the 60 vote filibuster rule.
Be careful about depending on only Republican sources for info. I was talking to a Dem coworker today who was defending Obama on his citizens United attack on SCOTUS and after a few questions he had no idea what the case was about or what they decided, he just believed what Obama and MSNBC said. dont trust any media.
:)
For a second I thought you had me so I looked it up. I almost believed it.
Back then I was making the argument to Republicans that we would be better off if it looked like Dems had a majority that was safely under the 60, say the 53 you thought they had so it be easier to make that case you guys are making, that Dems were in control.
Back then Reid could control the agenda but he couldnt pass anything unless he worked out a deal with GWB, and there was plenty of them.
In 2003 the Bush tax cuts were passed using budget reconcilation as the R majority was still well under the 60.
Everyone that knows me knows I have no fond memories of the GWB era, except maybe the Elito and Roberts confirmations.
HA-HA, that is where I went to check on your claims but I was hesitant to tell you because I have had a few Bush-Bots claim that Wika is lying even when they (the bots) have been obviously wrong about stuff.
I was a enthusiastic GWB defender his first term but by late 2006 I realized I had been duped, I swore not to let his few remaining supporters re-write history.
In 2009 I thought Republicans should replace Boehner and McConnell and repudiate the GWB era.
I stayed there for all of 15 seconds as she was railing against Mittens and I SPECIFICALLY heard he saying that Mitt "HAD SHED HIS SKIN", meaning he was a "Snake."
There is no conservative commentator who could get away with that reference to a Demo-Rat Presidential Candidate, especially (THOUGH HE ARE ONE) Dear Leader.
BTW... speaking of “sickoflibs”.
I recently took a new job after 22 years at a fairly conservative company and didn’t realize how liberal this company I now work for is. I am already looking to get out of here as it is REALLY liberal and my co-workers wear it on their sleeve.
I am a systems analyst with a lot of experience in database design and software development life cycle. It is a UNIX type database that is not one of the most used out there.
I am desperate to get out of there so if any Freepers know of opportunities in the Puget Sound area, freepmail me. Thanks!
Sorry for the commercial! Point being.... it sucks to work for a liberal company.
HA-HA, trying to get software engineers to work on legacy systems with older operating systems is one hell of a challenge. Many would rather wait on unemployment than put CRAP on their resume.
Imagine the last buggy-whip designer or the last Beta VCR expert.
Video killed the Radio Star (the Buggles) and internet (and liberals) killed MTV.
Shes seriously stupid. When we're talking about leftists it's awfully hard to say this one is more stupid than that one, since they are all so seriously stupid. But with Mika, we can say she thrusts her stupidity out there in a way that makes her more noticeable.
The lib I schooled today on Citizen's United once told me he saw an Republican political ad on TV in 2002 in GA that never existed. He swore over and over he personally saw it. I was able to prove to him through internet references that the ad he swore he saw could have never said what he said he heard.
During follow-up conversations I somehow mentioned that I use to sometimes listen to crazy lib Randi Rhodes on Air America (for entertainment, 2004-2005 time-frame) and so he says he used to listen to her too.
Then the bell range, this lib heard lib RR on the radio complain about a Republican commercial that said something the real one couldn't have said, and a few years later his memory forgot where he heard it and actually believed he saw it. I knew this because I heard RR telling this made up story back then and knew it was not true then,
No wonder he is terrified of Citizen's United. So many just depend on one or two information sources they trust, mostly because they confirm their world view.
The best place to use that material they give you is :
An Obama Supporter explains High Gas Prices and Green energy (video)
Pelosi is like Foxy Loxy ("If you tell 'em a lie, tell a big one" "Who looks nice and stupid?") in the 1943 Chicken Little cartoon. The GOP would have Henny Penny, Turkey Lurkey, and of course Chicken Little.
The smart play would have been to abandon and blast Bush.
