I have to work today and tomorrow so I can't man any of Newt's phone banks, but if anybody can use this letter to forward in e-mails to your lists before tomorrow's primaries, please do so:
Mitt Romney supports government-coerced abortion. He personally has made the decision to force people to provide abortions even though they believe it to be murder.
Yes, he vetoed Romneycare because it mandated abortion insurance coverage, but in Dec 2005 after his veto was overridden and the Boston Globe printed an article noting that Catholic hospitals would be exempt from providing abortions to rape victims, Romney ordered the Dept of Public Health to force Catholic hospitals to provide abortions. He said his legal counsel had given him a sounder view of what Romneycare meant that this law alone, of all the abortion laws passed in the 30 years since the 1975 conscience law had exempted religious institutions from having to perform abortions against their religious beliefs, nullified the conscience law even though a nullification clause had specifically been rejected by the MA legislature. Romney went further and said he personally believed it was the right thing for Catholic hospitals to commit what they believe to be murder.
Since that time, the regulations now say that the abortifacient morning-after pill must be offered by Catholic hospitals regardless of whether rape is even claimed. In other words, any woman can go to the emergency room of any Catholic hospital in MA and force the staff there to give her an abortion pill, no questions allowed to be asked.
This isnt about rape and it isnt about abortion. There are plenty of secular hospitals that will provide the morning-after pill. This is about forcing every Catholic in this country who puts a dollar bill in the collection plate to commune at the altar of government-established religion that includes abortion. Religious liberty exists no more.
Welcome to China right here in America.
Romney defends Romneycares coerced abortions by pointing out that states are not bound by the US Constitution. First Amendment guarantees of religious liberty dont apply to states. States are free to establish religion and violate religious liberty, as Romney has done in MA.
The chief way that Islamists plan to establish sharia in free countries is by establishing precedents at the more local levels and then using that precedent to force the whole country into sharia Islam forced onto everyone. Romneys claims would allow states to establish sharia.
Vote for Newt Gingrich in the Republican Presidential primary.
Ping.
My apologies if anybody doesn’t want to receive this. I need to know I’ve done whatever I could, just for my own conscience’s sake. Thanks for anything you can do to stop America from making a very bad mistake.
But didn’t Newt say he was going to support Romney?
I live in NY but I am in Charlotte NC this week for work
freepmail me if there is anything I can do via computer (I am a computer enigneer)
and I will give you my private email address
Only if Romney won the R nomination. Which is what I will do also, to the small extent that I can stomach. Actually, I will oppose Obama.
But as long as there is somebody in the race who HASN’T coerced a religion to violate its own beliefs, that is who I will vote for in the primary. And right now that’s Newt or Ron Paul.
This goes way beyond just abortion. As I’ve noted, Romney is unwittingly setting us up for sharia - which will be duly noted and used to its full advantage by Obama if he is re-elected, since Obama has said he was and still is a Muslim who supports the Muslim agenda (an agenda which includes the destruction of the US and Israel and the institution of worldwide sharia). Everything Obama and his communist-Islamist allies have done has supported that agenda.
Right down to Eric Holder keeping our southern border wide open to both the drug cartels (which he has also armed) and their allies, Hezbollah. Another ally of Hezbollah is the New Black Panther Party - which Eric Holder has protected from prosecution for violent threats (both in PA’s voter intimidation case AND in the threats of “blood in the streets” over the Trayvon Martin case).
We are talking about an existential threat to the USA and everything we’ve been. This is WAY, WAY more than just abortion we’re talking about. I don’t think Romney intends to institute sharia but by failing to comprehend who our enemies are he is making mistakes that make us incredibly vulnerable.
People need to know this.
If you have any contacts there in NY who are either pro-life or care about religious liberty and protecting the US from creeping sharia, you could ask them if they would be willing to forward to any e-mail lists they have, or post to Facebook, or anything they can do to get the word out about this.
One of the saddest things of all is that the “pro-life” community is claiming that Romney is pro-life. After what he did against both pro-life and freedom of religion, I can’t fathom why they would endorse him in the PRIMARY, when there is still somebody in the race who is both pro-life and (even more importantly) respects the right of conscience.
Because if the Islamists run with the precedent Romney has set (of states mandating a state religion and disallowing religious liberty), those very pro-life groups will soon be forced to obey sharia - which calls for the execution of anybody who won’t convert to Islam. And THAT is pro-death.
When None of the Above is the favored Nominee, then the Delegates at the National Convention in Tampa are obligated to reject the winner and select the BEST Nominee.
Thus far, the Primary Campaign has shown that the politics of Debt and Decline of Obama will not be changed with the GOP Nominee being Romney.
This Primary Campaign has also shown that only the candidates WITHOUT a workable plan to reduce BASELINE Federal spending are popular with the Primary voters.
Hence, it is incumbent upon the Republican National Committee to step in, withdraw their endorsements of Romney, and declare an open Convention in Tampa.
To do less is to insure another 4 years of voters choosing 4 more years of Debt and Decline from Obama, or Romney.
We, as a Nation, cannot afford either one.
_____________
HEY ROMNEY!
Look us in the eye,
And never, EVER lie!
If you mean what you say,
Then say what you mean!
Stand and deliver
What you plan to do,
In case you havent noticed,
No one likes you.
Our line in the sand,
Puts your Romney Road to Ruin
Alongside Obamas Wrong Track.
So stop your damned Smiley-Face,
And attack, Attack, ATTACK!
We will oppose you in Tampa,
For what you lack,
We want America to be back
On the Constitution Track.
Do you have it in you?
I doubt that you do,
You see a Pinko future,
And we see Red, White and Blue.
It has always been my intention to vote for Newt.
This is a very excellent piece of work, just the right length, and it really hits all aspects of the troubling situations regarding all types of religious liberty, from sharia to abortion coercion. I haven’t come across anything making this exact point this exact way before... and I think it is a very good piece of work... and I know exactly who, on my lists, will get the most out of it...
Thanks for the hard work!!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NEWT!!
Thank you very much. Excellent work.
Excellent! If there’s anybody else you can convince to vote the same, now is the moment of truth. There are forces at work trying to use our own supposed “pro-life” groups to demoralize us within the PRIMARY. The primary is not over, and there is still somebody in the race who is both pro-life and pro-religious-liberty.
And even those who don’t give a rip about abortion should see the danger that this precedent sets. We’re not talking about whether a victory mosque can be built by Muslims who own private property at Ground Zero where so many innocent people were killed; we’re talking about whether a state itself could both build that mosque AND MANDATE THAT EVERYBODY WORSHIP THERE. That’s what creeping sharia is about, and what Romney has done in Romneycare and his way of trying to justify it opens the door for precisely that.
Both Obama and Romney hold views that support sharia. Romney’s is just unwittingly couched in pro-choice sheep’s clothing.
Read butterdezillion’s post, and the thread and please e-mail this to everyone you know before tomorrow’s primaries!
Thank you. The more people who realize what’s at stake here, the greater the chance that they will rise to the occasion. It’s do or die right now.
People in NYC and PA who lost loved ones in 9-11 need to think long and hard about what Romney’s defense of Romneycare really means.
Read butterdezillions post, and the thread and please e-mail this to everyone you know before tomorrows primaries!
Thank you, onyx.
I refuse to believe that the good people of the Northeast are too “establishment Rino” to understand what is at stake here, or to stand for the very things that make America what we are.
Which state is it with the motto “Live Free or Die”? That’s the spirit we need right now, and New England can lead the way.
New England, you were the bed of the American Revolution. From the battles you fought come the liberties of this land. The country needs you now. Please rise to the great heritage you come from. You can do this!
I received (some good news) an email from Newt’s camp that stated.....
“In addition to a potential game changer in North Carolina, there is some exciting news in the state of Delaware.
Just yesterday, one of Mitt Romney’s top endorsers in the Delaware, the Chairman of Kent County GOP, switched his support to Newt! He is the second Delaware GOP County Chairman to announce his support for Newt in the past 24 hours.”
Fantastic!
Let’s keep getting the word out there. There is SO much at stake, and in spite of all the political games and betrayal out there right now, I still believe that the people who rose up in love for the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave after 9-11 are capable of doing it again, IF THEY REALIZE WHAT IS AT STAKE.
And only we are able and willing to help them realize that.
Let’s roll.
