Planning has begun for the 7th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.
This year’s shoot will be held at Schwenke’s Rifle & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069, Aransas Pass, TX. Which is a few miles north of Corpus Christi.
The date of the shoot is October 6th, which is Columbus Day weekend.
I have not talked to the range owner yet to see if we can cook on the range. If not, we will head over here for food & more fun. What food & who cooks has yet to be determined. I’m thinking, since we will be on the coast, we should have seafood.
Several of us will be staying in the cottages at that resort. The cottages sleep 2 ~ 4 people; they are a one bedroom with a fold out queen couch. I am going to reserve four cottages so that we will have a common area where we can eat & socialize. Let me know if you want to stay in one of them.
It should be noted that a festival will be held the same weekend as the shoot.

Wow...you must have a lot of lemon trees! They look pretty good to me. I could make some good honey lemon jelly out of those puppies! I just have a Meyers lemon tree in a big pot on my deck with about 15 lemons on it....lol.
No feelings hurt here. We’ll sort it all out when we’re together. It would be fun to room together if it works out. :)

Just got back to our hotel from the Vegas TPX rally. Will have dinner with Syncro and the TPX folks tonight and we start for Texas tomorrow. Will be doing the FReepathon on the road (assuming I can stay connected). Prayers up everyone. God bless.

Everyone loves reactive targets.
I was going to bring tannerite but it sounds like Mr Schwenke is afraid it could spoof his critters.
He says its cool in small portions,but I don’t have containers to divide the loads.
I could see that it might not be animal friendly!

The good thing to see at our range is just that membership is up and the Range Master is making some nice improvements. Can you imagine? Here in good ol' Cali? Ha! Makes me laugh everytime we go out to practice and it's full! Good sign!
Man, when I lived in Ca it was wide open. you could shoot on any BLM or State land.
When I got to Texas I a was kinda surprised that there were no public shooting places.
The entire state is mostly private property.
I just lease 55 acres on the Trinity river now.
