Gingrich on Plan B: 'I'm Quite Happy With Plan A, Frankly' By NBC's Alex Moe
LANCASTER, Penn. Campaigning in Pennsylvania with one-week left before the states primary, Newt Gingrich acknowledged he has no Plan B and downplayed one of his top surrogates call for him to exit the presidential race.
Asked if he is thinking about what he will do if he does not get the nomination what his Plan B would be Gingrich brushed it off. "I don't worry about that right now. I'm focused on the nomination, Gingrich said following remarks at the Lancaster County GOP Dinner here. I'm quite happy with Plan A, frankly." (snip)
Gingrich plans to move ahead with his campaign despite increasing calls for him to drop out of the race including from onetime supporter, Herman Cain.
Cain, the onetime presidential candidate who endorsed Gingrich in late January, took to the airwaves Monday morning on a radio show and referenced Romney as the presumptive GOP nominee.
"To Newt Gingrich I would say, 'Speaker Gingrich, with all due respect, let's get on with this, OK?'" Cain said in an interview on WMAL's Mornings On The Mall. "I even endorsed Newt Gingrich at one point because I thought he had a shot. Well, not now. He doesn't have a shot."

The races are still open while the media influences who they
want people to vote for. Don't you see the charade.
Hate to tell Newt, but it’s over.
One of our local television reporters yesterday already declared Romney the winner in PA’s primary. The media bias was as subtle as a sledgehammer before, but in case you didn’t notice, now the media is coming right out and telling you.
Anyone still think the primaries aren’t rigged?
Herman Cain? Oh you mean the real Herman Cain, the one whose train wrecked.
Squirmin Herman was nothing more than a pitiful sideshow. BUT, he did keep me laughing.

Such propaganda, paid from the deep pockets of Mitt Romney, has the effect of brainwashing people.
Not me, no way.
Understand this: the nomination process is not over. There are 4+ months left to go until the convention in Tampa. Anything and everything can happen in that span of time.
The Tea Party managed to put a million people onto the streets of Washington, D.C., a couple years ago, and I believe Conservatives can take their party back from the frightened Country Clubbers who are terrified Obama will seize their wealth and deluded by Romneys flashing money around and talking down his opponents as he has no posititve record to run on himself.
Our choice, and there really isnt any other, is to back the only person running who has actually changed government, and that is Newt Gingrich.
Gingrich doesnt have to get to 1144 delegates to effectively block Romney. After that first vote of delegates in Tampa when Romney cant get the nomination free and clear, the whole convention is up for grabs.
And Rue Paul can be the queen of England. It is just highly unlikely. Not as unlikely as Gingrich winning the 95% of remaining delegates he would need, but still unlikely.
Cain once endorsed Gingrich. I think the question here is whether there is truly a “realistic” path to Gingrich coming anywhere close to clinching the nomination? Cain was once everyone’s favorite here. He’s speaking to reality. Not in some bubble or vacuum of unreality.

This has nothing to do with Cain, and everything to do with a guy maintaining a presidential campaign to raise money and boost his own ego.
Herman Cain just wants to be on the winning side no matter what that candidate stands for. I would not want Cain for a friend because I wouldn’t know if he was one or not. What happened to his convictions? Romney and Newt are so different, I couldn’t switch from Newt to Romney if Romney was elected tomorrow.
Now, today, we find out Romney’s tax plan isn’t much different than Hussein’s. As has been said, not much difference between Romney and Hussein. Etch A Sketch has been shaken up.
Got stored water and food?
I am with Newt all the way to Tampa.
I have never in my life let a guy get into a fight for me and then simply walk away...... that is just not within me.
If God wants to bless this country again, He will give us the right man to help us get out of this mess, that man is Newt Gingrich.
God save the Republic......
Yes, Cain did endorse Newt, and now he’s taking it back. I lost respect for him over this flip-flop. There’s no part of me that thinks Cain’s latest endorsement means anything.
You are still up? Check your email. Old people like you should be in bed.
The current delegate count speaks for itself:
Romney=659; Santorum= 275; Gingrich=140
How Gingrich can get to 1144 is to believe in black magic.
Why would you lose “respect” for Cain if all he says is get “real” given the current delegate count?
And I've given up on conservatives taking back the party. Thanks to the liberals in the party hierarchy, there is nothing to take back. I for one just sent in an application to change my voter registration. The party has made it clear it doesn't want conservatives. There is no place for conservatives.
Assuming this country survives four or more years of the Obama regime, we conservatives need to break away from the Republican party and form our own. Too bad we didn't do it sooner, or we would have had a shot at putting a conservative in the White House. Instead, Obama will be re-elected and he can then set about making himself president for life and completely destroying this once great nation.
I have never been surrounded by so many quitters.
Newt is the last conservative standing........ and the support of real conservatives should be behind that man.
