Whenever a tsunami warning is given on the northern coastline of Maui, Hawaii, the people living in Hana rush up the side of a mountain to a high place of safety. Nearby is a tall wooden cross that was placed there many years ago by missionaries. For their physical safety, people run to the area where the cross is located.
In a similar way, all of us need a place of spiritual safety. Why? Because the Lord gives us these warnings in His Word: All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and the wages of sin is death (Rom. 3:23; 6:23). Hebrews 9:27 states: It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. We might not like to think about what the consequences of our sin will be as we face a holy God, but its a serious thing to fall into the hands of the living God (10:31).
The good news is that out of love for us, the Father has provided a place of safety! He sent His Son Jesus to die so we wouldnt have to be separated from Him forever (Rom. 5:8-10; Col. 1:19-22).
Because of Jesus Christs death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead, that place of safety is available. Have you run to the cross?

Hi Everybody!
Happy Easter!
(((HUGS)))
Shavua Tov.
Wishing all our Jewish troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
a peaceful and prosperous week.
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
Lord, I come to you not because I think highly of myself but because I think highly of you. Without you I am lost forever. But because you gave your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ the Messiah, to suffer and die on the Cross, and then you raised Him in the flesh on the third day, in fulfillment of the Holy Scriptures, I know the price has been paid for all sin and all suffering. I put my trust in you, Lord. My greatest wish is to bring you glory. I repent of my sins, and I surrender myself to you. Reveal your Glory in me and through me. I pray that all be made your disciples, all peoples and in every nation. May the Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ the Savior be spread, and may your will be done. Amen.
He Is Risen!
Happy Easter and God’s richest blessings to my friends here at the canteen. Love/hugs/love some more
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." -from THE BIBLE: John 3:16-17
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the blessings you provide to us each and every day. We give very special thanks this day for the glorious resurrection of your Son, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Thank you for His sacrifice on our behalf....thank you for His conquering of death; thank you for Him taking our sins unto Himself.
Happy Easter, all.
