I looked at the numbers and found them just fine. I’m sure everyone here wants something for free but FREE Republic costs $$ to run.
If you are having hard times, like many today, spend it on your needs! FR will survive.
If and when times improve, throw some cash into the pot for FR.
Most of all, STAY!
We need all the old posters to stop the new members from taking over.

I can't donate a lot and I can't donate every time but I do donate when I can. In fact, I've donated between fundraisers. If I ever magically become wealthy I'll become a big monthly donor.

Personally I tend to agree with you....it is Jim’s site though and he may do as he pleases....1 of which is to run it with a very closed mind....but it is his to run as he pleases....even if that means the fund raisers become permanent 24/7 fixtures.
I say this as a past dollar a day donor....key word....past.

I lurked here for a year or more then I registered.. it's been fun. I've been put in time out but usually because I ranted and ran afoul of mods. It's Jim's site. He has a great product and I'm just glad that it's available. The rest of the net is pretty much boring without the funny comments from my FReeper comrades.
Seriously, where can I find out about "naughty teachers", "word of the day", "All things Mac" , "Catholic updates", " Liberal photshopping" and the generally great prepper advice .
I think I have a way of Jim making a ton of money, but I'm to cheap to tell him. I figure he's already thought of it and is just being nice with the FReepathons.

It seems like it has become more frequent as the years go by. But - I’m wondering if that is due to my perception of EVERYTHING going faster each year. Annual dental appointment - again!? It was just a few months ago - wasn’t it? April 15th!!! Didn’t I just do my taxes?
