I've been here a year or two.
The demands of the fundraisers have gone up and up.
While I have no dispute of Jim's numbers as up front, they have gone governmental.
Look closely at the budget. Decide for yourself.

Good software services are expensive.
Ever-increasing bandwidth is expensive.
Ever-increasing numbers of FReepers make for more requirements on the servers.
Administrative personnel gotta eat and drive and support families.
I think it's called... LIFE IS EVER MORE EXPENSIVE.
Sorry you feel that way, but I don't see the fundraising as a "DEMAND". More like "Hey if you think it's worth it to ya, chip in."

To each his own. I find great value in FR and don’t mind donating. I also have no problem if support to JR beyond any actual costs is in the scenario (whether true or not).

What is your problem? Jim does this every quarter, and it is nothing new. I love my FReeper family and hope it goes on forever. We might not all agree on everything but we know one thing, costs are escalating for everything. What rock have you been living under! Sorry you feel this way.
