Ward 8 D.C. Councilman Marion Barry is on the hot seat again.
Celebrating his victory in the Democratic primary on Tuesday night, Barry spoke up about the prominence of businesses owned by Asians in the District.
“We got to do something about these Asians coming in and opening up businesses and dirty shops,” Barry said in remarks first reported by WRC-TV. “They ought to go. I’m going to say that right now. But we need African-American businesspeople to be able to take their places, too.”
Barry, who won't be opposed in November's general election as he seeks his third consecutive term on the D.C. Council, was unavailable for comment Thursday morning.
He's a DEMOCRAT, and BLACK, so this cannot possibly be construed as racist by anyone in the mainstream media. (Not if they want to stay EMPLOYED, that is)
Just ask anyone at ABC/CBS/CNN/NBC/MSNBC/CNBC/NPR/WashPost and the NYTimes!
Give him another street whore and some more crack for his pipe. Then he’ll shut up. At least for a little while.

Imagine attacking people for their success?
Barry is attacking people for opening stores.
This is like some people who argue that the number of Asians at top tier schools should be limited because of their disproportionate academic success.
Since when has it become fashionable to target people for their success?
If “dirty shops” means what I think, they can provide jobs mopping up the floor at the peep show booths.
Non-English speaking immigrants, who thrive in our capitalist system, make it tough on those insisting they need government handouts to survive.

Perhaps it's because orientals do the "assimilation" thing, can read, write, cypher and open stores, and do the whole bootstrap thing, like all us other immigrants.
But, since Obama's 100% voting block are victims, they are being held down by the White Man...

It appears that Berry wants to emulate the fantastic economic plan tried in Uganda by Idi Amin.
It worked to destroy the economy even faster than Socialism or Communism.

Why would ANYONE want to open a business in the DC Ghetto? Laughable that he would use the word “dirty” with reference to neighborhoods where throwing trash in the streets is a signature characteristic.
The FBI should investigate to see if there’s a disproportionate number of violations issued to asian businesses. Could be institutionalized racism going on in DC.
Remember that case a couple years ago about a lawyer trying to sue a laundromat for millions of dollars for messing up his shirt? That was a black plaintiff and asian defendant in DC (I think). Maybe the real motive in that suit was racism.

I used to be a racist, but, as I got older, I kept finishing further and further back, so I quit racing.
