The recent media/establishment mantra that Newt is solely attempting to influence the platform is wholly wrong. Newt is trying to fly in under the radar, just as he did after June 2011 and through the initial debates.

I'm in, til Newt's out.

I voted for Newt but at this point he sounds more like Baghdad Bob than Reagan.

I like and wanted Newt, but he’s been effectively out for many weeks.

Unless the momentum suddenly shifts Santorum’s way, this plan cannot work. Romney will have 1144 bound delegates by the time the convention begins.

And go to the Moon and build a colony there without any tax/government money.

If you doubt him your mind must be too small.

It appears as if some delusion rubbed off on Newt when he say next to Pelosi on that couch.

Sorry Newt-—but the vast majority of the American voters are just too moronic to get you!

Well... He knows better, I’m sure. I love Newt, and I think he’d be a huge asset in the inner circle of any administration... But he’s out of this one now.

It’s just going to be Romney. That’s how the math is working out. Time to belly up to bar and figure out how to deal with it.

I love ya, Newt, but unless you've got some photos stashed away of Mittens and a farm animal makin' hay, please accept this complimentary gift bag and leave though the side door. RINO Corporate has already handed the keys to the store to their latest fair-haired boy. And we are coming up for a world of hurt.

"As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

If he can’t win more than 2 states to supposedly get the nomination, he won’t win more than that if he does happen to get the nomination.

He needs to deflate his ego and accept reality — he didn’t win, he can’t win, he won’t win.

He’s losing to Ron Paul in many states. Why can’t these people face reality?

I love me some Newt. But he blew his wad in the late ‘90s and should have run earlier. His new “looks like a blow up doll” wife is so rigid her hair spray looks natural.

What really gets me, and yes I focus on crap, is that only once he decided to run this cycle he debunked the “he served divorce papers to his dying wife” story with true facts.

Why did he wait so long? Does his ego not even let him understand the so-called historian in him that should have known Mark Twain’s line about the truth not getting it’s pants on before the lie travels around the globe?

This, to me, implies bad judgement beyond his past issues.

Mark Levin brought up a good point today. Even among Republicans, Willard can’t manage to garner more than the low forties in voter support. How in the world can he be expected to overcome that deficit in a general election? I hope the Supremes rule in our favor on Obamacare and we manage to hold the House otherwise we’re hosed!

Newt is trying to let people know if we elect liberal Romney; expect to have a risk of implementing an agenda towards conservatism. If we don’t have control of the house/senate, Romney will do whatever they want with him. He was very easily swayed in Massachusetts. I think the GOP-e figures, if they lose enough conservatives voters; the liberals who are worried about Obama, will vote for Mitt. If they could get rid of us (especially the soc-cons), they would.

Mitt will not have a platform for change- we will all be waiting to see what he does.

Newt admitted the insiders are begging for him to leave. Why should he? Anything could happen-think about it-If I were him, I would stay until the end. Newt is smart and knows once he leaves, the subject of conservatism is gone. I am sure he cannot stand that Romney may be the nominee (like a lot of us) and hopefully his contested convention idea from all along, can give us a another candidate.

We don’t have to accept Romney. If the delegates cannot be bought off, we can reject him and ask for another person. Too bad, Santos is getting the 2nd tier role-he will be creamed in the general. If Newt were in 2nd, we’d have a real fight on ideas. Time to vet Mitt so we know what we are taking into the general. Being such a jerk with his negative ads, will make certain a lot of voters will never vote for him. Romney is a disaster and we are on a suicide mission. The conservative issues will be set back for years since Romney would move to the center. He is talking tough like Bush did to get votes. It could be too late since most patriots are keeping quiet. I’m with Newt all of the way. I would rather stand with my convictions vs. making excuses to accept Romney (who is a fraud)

I’ll vote for him in the CA primary, even if he’s out by then. If he’s not on the ballot, I’ll write him in.
