Obama must really be pissed at Texas.
Hope for the best.
My wife was in Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville and they made the customers take cover. When she got out, she was then pinned into a highway overpass by the hail.
She is home now (Valley Ranch/Irving/Carolton) but the rain and hail are still intense.
I saw the video of the tornado picking up semi trailers like a toddler throwing toys.
Whenever humans get that hubris going, one need only experience an earthquake or see a tornado to remind us Who is in charge.
watching live stream myFoxdfw.com looks like it’s never going to end
One of the tornados touched down about a mile from me.
Terrible and dramatic live coverage just now on Ch. 11 as chaser and first responder with camera watched a funnel hit an elementary school, homes and businesses in Forney.
Some completely destroyed, direct hit to Crosby Elementary. Don’t know if kids had been sent home.
Is it heading our way?
On WBAP (Mark Davis’ home station) reported that some of the tilt wall buildings in Kennedale (south of Arlington) have collapsed.
My home is ok and my son is safe - thank God. Lots of people need lots of prayers.
Texas has the scariest weather in the country.
Wonder how my former home in Gainesville/Lake Kiowa is doing?
whew. It was all around Irving and over us but nothing happened here. Thank goodness.
Yes, Shneider Trucking in Dallas got gobsmacked. That is what all the orange trailers were. The Flying J truck stop is next to it (they WERE really flying today)
I hunkered down here and turned off the laptop, just in case. But Irving was spared.
I was hunkering down with my 2 daughters here in Frisco...had heavy rain, light hail and some frayed nerves.
Very scary day. So far, my daughter-in-law and dog and safe in the laundry room at home. My son and grandson are safe at my son’s Arlington office, and one tornado passed too close to them. My two younger grandchildren are still locked down at school. Praying they all make it home safely and there are no more tornadoes today! Hope all of you DFW Freepers are safe.
TWC just had banner that Rock Wall TX had extensive damage and search and rescue going on.
We have friends there. Going to try to call, have no idea if we’ll get through on the phone.
400 flights cancelled, 100 planes received hail damage at DFW Airport, per WFAA TV report.
You OK?
Prayers for my fellow Texans.
Ping to this tornado thread. Watch the footage in post #11, and other Posts. Wow!
