President Obama, employing his strongest language to date on the Supreme Court review of the federal health care overhaul, cautioned the court Monday against overturning the law -- while repeatedly saying he's "confident" it will be upheld.

Exactly. That's one of the biggest lies the left has told about Obama.
The SOB is crossing the separation of powers line,
AGAIN.
Threatening the SCOTUS??
I can see Ginsburg voting this down just to assert the power of the court.
Theodore Roosevelt was born in 1858.
Drudge:
DID HE GET A LEAK?
OBAMA TAKES SHOT AT COURT
Overturn the damn travesty of a law
Then kick his illegal ass out of the Presidency
The guy is completely delusional. He is so far out of it. He has to go!
I find it interesting that Drudge has a sub header indicating Obama recieved a leak of the result.
my money would be on sotomayor or kagan.
You can only intimidate and pressure the court before they make their ruling, so what’s Obama’s game here unless he was respondning to a leak?
May 1, 2012 BREAKING: SCOTUS rules Obama ineligible, President to resign, may face arrest...DEVELOPING
The reason they are not elected, Barry is so they are above the need to pander to win elections, and to greatly reduce the risk of corruption and influence.
Last time I checked, virtually EVERY law is passed by a majority vote of democratically elected reps. Does this idiotic statement by him mean he thinks the SC should never find laws unconstitutional? Does he want to take us back to separate but equal? Is he saying he wants to overturn Roe v Wade?
Of course not. To him, the SC should just be another appendage of the democrat machine. He’s all for them finding things unconstitutional when it helps him, against them finding things unconstitutional when they don’t help him.
Moral of the story: like everything else, his opinion here is about him
What a MORON.
liberal circuit court judges constantly say DOMA is unconstitutional even though it was passed by congress and the president. JEEZ see the tagline ODumbo
Whoever the Republican nominee is, I would pledge my vote to him if he would do the following things:
1) promise to nominate Paul Clement to the next open SC Justice opening; and then Jeff Sessions/Jon Kyl after that!
2) Announce Newt Gingrich as his running mate (assuming it isn’t Newt who gets the nomination);
3) Spend every day of the presidency undoing every piece of legislation and law Obama passed in his miserable term!
Even scarier is they are all vulnerable to heart attacks.
He was an "adjunct professor" = a non-tenure-track resume-enhancer for local lawyers to 'give back' to their alma mater. It's also a way for the law school to keep in touch with local law firms or (in Obama's case) do a favor for some influential local politician.
I was an "adjunct professor" for years at my law school, but I was never under any illusions as to the importance of it or that it meant that I was a particularly learned person or great lawyer. I was helping out my school and getting something nice and public-spirited to put on my resume, nothing more.
Be it far from me to insult a Freeper for whom I have a great deal of respect, but seriously, you must know that Romney is an utter turncoat in Republican clothing.
Given the chance, he won't do anything substantially different from Obama. He'll just be very polite and apologetic about upholding every rotten thing Obama has done, and will not steer the country a single degree off the course Obama has set. He'll even appoint liberals to the federal bench and the Supreme Court.
Even a cursory glance at his record as Governor of Massachusetts will tell you that, and he hasn't undergone any sort of core transformation in the interim. He's still a big government liberal who gives lip service to the Constitution, conservative values, and Old Glory. He doesn't mean a single word of it.
The other danger of Romney winning the election, is that a Republican dominated Congress will likely 'go along to get along' with the de facto (liberal) leader of their party. Not so with Obama, whom they will oppose with every fiber (well, most fibers) of their being.
It's a helluva conundrum we're in here. About the best I personally hope for, is for a real conservative to win the nominating contest in a brokered convention. That is my last and final hope for this election. Romney will not get my vote, no matter the consequences.
Yes spot on he is a complete idiot for this veiled threat. He hopes to turn this after the election against the R’s.......They are appointed for a reason. He taught at U of Chicago....they should be ashamed with this meathead.
... when he pronounces “un-elected” it sounds strange like he’s adding an extra syllable of something. He sounds like a real stupid person trying to act smart. The media never picks on any of his verbal faux pas like they do with Palin or W.
