Rubio endorses Romney, saying he's 'earned' it

Romney hasn't earned anything yet although it does appear I'll be voting independent party this year. Rubio and the GOP quite possibly have lost my vote.

I’m certainly not going to call Marco Rubio a RINO. The Heritage Foundation’s Action Scorecard has Rubio at a 90% rating for his record of conservative legislation, which is one of the highest scores among all senators. No question, the GOP establishment has organized a rallying cry around every influential conservative member in Washington over the past couple of weeks by begging them to publicly endorse Romney “for the sake of party unity” to get conservative voters to coalesce behind him, or else they believe he will be an increasingly damaged candidate the longer the race goes on.

Nonetheless, I continue to become increasingly frustrated and more resentful at this pathetic excuse for a Republican party and it just goes to show we still have a LONG way to go to get rid of the GOP establishment.

So, Mr. Rubio wishes to disenfranchise the Repub primary voters yet to cast their ballot.

I thought Rubio was a Tea Party guy ... guess not.

In many ways, “RINO Republicanism” is its own political party, and this creates many ongoing problems with conservatism and with conservative Republicans. “Establishment Republicanism”, “Libertarian Republicanism”, and “Elitist Republicanism” deepens the political fissures even more with conservatives and with conservative Republicans. What will be the definitive answer to the long-term existence of U.S. conservatism?

Not Tea Party, is he?

Nope. Two ineligible Mormons unite — rather than be honest.

Not going to go after Rubio as this was no surprise and in his best personal interest. He indirectly endorsed Romney in the 2 weeks leading up to the Florida primary by making headlines attacking Gingrich everyday. I don’t hate Rubio. He is becoming a part of the establishment with this move (it is part of the process) but he is not a RINO at this point. I am still not voting for Romney.

I will not vote for Romney, even if he is the nominee. By voting for the Republican establishment candidate, it only encourages them to nominate someone even more liberal the next time. At some point, this trend has to stop, or we will end up with someone worse than Obama as the Republican nominee. Voting for Romney might be good tactics, but it is horrible strategy.

I have said before that the biggest enemies of social conservaatives are liberal Republicans. In a contest between Obama and Romney, social conservatives have no one to vote for.

Romney is a nonstarter. Whoever endorses him permanently maims their own political careers.

Looks like the surging Rick Santorum is scaring Mitt Romney's GOP establishment RINOs.

So they are calling out the big guns—they want their McCain and Dole no matter what!!!

This will definitely NOT enhance the senator's conservative resume.

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller, Sen. Rubio revealed that President Obama’s recent “open mic” gaffe with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev sparked his endorsement of Mitt Romney for president Wednesday night.

“It’s been weighing on my mind all week,” he said.

“I’ve never thought about this as a political calculation,” Rubio said of his endorsement. “I’m just sitting back here and watching a president that just got back from overseas — where he told the Russian president to work with him and give him space so he can be more flexible if he gets re-elected.”

“The stakes are so high. We’re not running against John F. Kennedy here,” he said.

“We have to win this election in November. We have to!” he averred. “If we don’t win this election in November — and we get four more years of Barack Obama — I don’t know what that means … But I know it ain’t good.”

Earned it, huh? In other words, he’s made a career of campaigning and, well, he was just next in line.

Put a line through another one of these turkeys. At least we now know that Rubio is fine with taking orders from the party elites.

A Romney nomination means the end of conservatives as a political force in the Republican party.
