It’s his father’s name-Hid mother is hispanic.
The online German translator agrees with you. My German teacher must have been an idiot. Or I was paying too much attention to the frauleins ...
Sorry for the obvious plug.... The US Government trained me to kill Radical Mooslims and Communists... now THAT is irOnic.
My question was who was Jewish. There could be Peruvian Jews and German Jews, German-named American Jews, or neither of them might be a Jew. Also, it really has no bearing on this shooting in my view.
> And I always thought that ‘zimmer’ meant tailor?! [photo of Men’s Warehouse Zimmer]
I see that you’re joking. “Schneider” means tailor for those who are curious. “Zimmer” means room, and according to the German Wikipedia, “Der Familienname Zimmermann ist abgeleitet von dem Beruf des Zimmermanns” [The surname Zimmermann is derived from the occupation of carpenter]. It’s possible, of course, for someone to have that name and be Jewish, but it’s a common German name (the 20th most common according to Wikipedia), so there’s no reason to assume it. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimmermann_%28Familienname%29
Whatever his ancestry it’s outrageous the way racist panderers are condemning him without hearing his side of the story.
Someone suggested to me that there may be an undercurrent of anti-semitism in this case. It’s quite possible, I think.
The leftist liberals and the tolerant blacks would go berserk.
I apologize to any conservative that was offended with with above but it is a question I feel needs to asked. As for any bleeding heart liberal my suggestion would involve doing something with SAND.
” Zimmer means room, and according to the German Wikipedia”
Wrong dictionary. According to the MSM dictionary, a Zimmerman is a latino who is whitewashed with cracker Photoshop, and he may or may not eat bagels.
Hispanics with non-Hispanic names have risen to prominence from time to time. In the 1890's, the Spanish general Don Valeriano Weyler y Nicolau gained notoriety when his unsuccessful effort to put down the rebellion in Cuba led to many deaths. In the 1980's, Mexico had an oil minister named Juan Eibenscutz. In Chile, General Augusto Pinochet Ugarte overthrew the Red regime headed by Salvador Allende in 1973, while a couple years later, Leopoldo Galtieri led a coup d'etat in neighboring Argentina. At about the same time, Guatemala had a president named Kjell Laugerud Garcia.
The Coast Guard Training ship, a tall ship, named “Eagle” was originally named the “Horst Wessel” after a “martyr” in the Nazi cause.
“unfortunate” is the liberals word they use when they don’t have the guts to criticize another liberal group/demographic group doing something awful that they’d never let conservatives get away with.
Good job on that one!!
Don’t forget Alberto Fujimori.
This guy couldn’t get a fair trial in Tibet.
LOL -thanks!
Ummm, 'teachers' are union members - and the kid in the picture is a product of our school system ... what can you expect?
Nothing unfortunate about it. It readily identifies the wearer as stupid and of little societal worth.
Don’t know who said it but they hit the nail on the head ,of course you have to know who Horst Wessel was.
