and I’m advised that in Florida, “cracker” refers to original colonial-era English and American pioneer settlers of what is now the U.S. state of Florida, and their descendants. So that’s not accurate either.

I’ve been wondering too where people are coming up with the idea that Zimmerman is a Jewish name. A person could be Jewish and have that name, but not all, and probably not many, Zimmermans are Jewish. Hence, to call it a Jewish name makes no sense.

I think you’re right. I believe that Americans who really pisses off about this crap too busy WORKING and being a VALUE TO A CIVIL SOCIETY. If this race baiting excercise is intended to help solidify a voting base, well... it’s sure as hell is strengthening the resolve of those opposed to it.
