On Face the Nation Sunday on CBS, Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum explained that his view of the Trayvon Martin shooting differed significantly from the one held by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

The 911 operator told him to stop following him.Now you are out and out lying (or trolling). He said "you don't need to do that." But I'll give you the last word 'cause I'm not going waste any more time on you.

Santorum’s supporters really don’t want Mitt.
Santorum may very well be a Pied Piper using heavy speeches to suck conservative voters in so he can become their leader and deliver them to Romney for the fall.
At the point Rick changes his tune to support Romney may be the point that conservatives who support Newt can say “See I told you so” and maybe change the equation.
I hope the Santorum delegates are in a position to say NO to Santorum if Rick throws his support to Romney to get Mitt over the top in delegates.

Oh the democratic plant who went before Pelosi for the birth control! I mean morning after pill?

I don’t know what went on. The kid probably had an attitude, but it sounds like he wasn’t burglarizing the neighborhood and had a legitimate reason for walking there. Ever been unfairly treated by the cops or accused of something you haven’t done? It makes you mad.

Nobody accused Martin of CRAP.
Yeah...and someone looking at me sideways makes me jump them and start beating their skull into the cement. /s.

I agree 100%, lj. It makes you wonder how committed he is to anything he says. Above all it shows a complete lack of respect for the justice system we're supposed to have in America.

Santorum may very well be a Pied Piper using heavy speeches to suck conservative voters in so he can become their leader and deliver them to Romney for the fall.I think Santorum is guilty of nothing more than excessive confidence in his personal judgments. I thought this confidence only included matters of scripture, but it's now clear that I was mistaken. I think he's got a minor case of Second Coming Complex, as in he thinks, if he's not the Messiah himself, he's at least an acolyte to the Messiah. All politicians have delusions of grandeur. I wish Santorum had displayed his weaknesses earlier in the nomination process.

A private citizen has no business following another private citizen with a gun on his hip if the person being followed has not committed a crime. This use to be a free country.

So you’re saying that Martin had a perfect right to beat the crap out of Zimmerman when Zimmerman was returning to his truck? Get a grip.

A private citizen has no business following another private citizen with a gun on his hip if the person being followed has not committed a crime. So if someone is acting suspiciously you should do what?
- a) ignore them and go about your business?
- b) lock your gun in the car and go ask them what they're doing?
- c) call the police and keep an eye on them?
- d)hide in the closet and rock back and forth until it all goes away?

Zimmerman was on the ground, on his back (as shown by physical evidence), and the kid was on top of him pounding on him, and you claim the shooting was unwarranted?

I’m saying in the real world you don’t go looking for trouble. When I was young and went to bars, all you had to do was say the wrong thing or look at somebody the wrong way, and you were in a fight. Maybe I’ve missed it, but it appears this kid had a legitimate reason to be in the neighborhood, and was not observed doing anything that indicated criminal intent. Maybe trailing people you don’t know in your neighborhood with a gun was normal for Zimmerman, but it was nonetheless provocative. It was probably inevitable that eventually he’d run into some kid with an attitude and either Zimmerman would be dead or the kid.
